I always was amazed at how much money you carp fanatics spend. I always just flyline a single hominy kernal, or a Chickpea, and I always catch monsters with simple 20 dollar walmart gear... Keep in mind this was definitely not an insult, carp fishing is VERY fun. How much do those bite indicators cost?

Hi Marcus, I agree, the amount we spend on gear is insane! But this lake can be extremely difficult as there are usually 20 guys on there each day of the week, 50 weeks of the year trying to catch the fish. Therefore, most of the gear is essential.

How much for the bite alarms? They're about £120 each for Delkims but they should last many years if looked after properly.

The set ups consist of stainless steel banksticks, stainless steel buzzer bars, Delkim bite alarms or Fox bite alarms and Fox swingers for the visual bite indicators.

The cost is around 300 Euros for a weeks fishing. However, the place is now so oversubscribed that you are highly unlikely to be able to fish there, unless you know someone that can get you on.

There are lots of other lakes that are up and coming that you could try instead though.

This is the best carp lake in the world and this is one of the best pegs. Most people will never be able to fish the lake so it gives people a chance to be able to see for themselves what the lake actually looks like.

This is the best lake in the world for big carp.

On this occasion, we fished for 1 week and caught fish up to 35lb. There are now lots and lots of carp above 60lb in weight in this lake with perhaps 20 different carp in excess of 70lb also.

P.s they come with the connector thing just like the fox connectors, with the 3 holes, they fit well snug and tight into the swinger to. Maybe someone reading here will benifit and save abit of money from me testing and recommending them. Anyone know good carp holiday sites/lakes that do pick ups or recommend any? Itle have to be dover for me.

those fox swingers as ive just bought 5 illuminated ones that are nearly the same as fox only much better quality for 40.00. Look like your ones tbh, they have a setting where you can change the spring weight of the swinger from 1oz to around 5 oz, without using the actual sliding weight. Anyway looks like them, the line clips are two bits of metal crossed rather than a normal clip, bloody excellent and much better than fox lol nice swim and lake, one day ill be there.

Don't spend too much time trying to get on Rainbow, it's over subscribed nowadays.. Lots of other good waters around though.

@nickdoran yeah i bought 2 as a test from this guy 150479678775 (paste into ebay search box)... i tested and im telling you they are as good as the fox swingers i own if not better quality! I purchased the next 3 private from the guy for 20.00.. Sold my fox euro set for 50.00 for 3. Hes changed accounts for them and they are now sold on this account for some reason... 230515336943 .. anyway have a vid of the swingers and other items have all colours. Check um out, im well impressed.

@nickdoran Yeah im gona be looking at new waters, ive done Dream lakes which was a nice tester water for me, was on lake 5 had some nice fish for me including a 31 common i was pleased with and a few 40 mirrors between me and my mates.. I dont drive so its abit of a bastard going on me tod which i like doing... So im trying find good ones that pick up from dover etc as a few do that now. Anyway nice video mate wont fill the page anymore, :o)

Hey, good luck for your trip. How many boilies to use? If you're driving and not restricted on space too much, I would take as many good quality boilies as you can afford. Some people use as little as 10kg per week but others use 100kg per week! Depends if the fish are having it or not.

Hey Nick im booked up to have a crack on rainbow this comeing summer,going on a trip with a guy called paul,from rainbow carp tours,cant wait fella..ive fished a few venues in france like dream lakes and a few other places also fished in spain on the ebro and siouth africa on (Tzaneen Dam) but rainbow tops the lot fella, how many kilo of bollies you use,im gunna take main line cell with me maybe 30/40 kilo seems we are driveing over,I wanna beat my PB of 68lb 7 oz fingers crossed.,

To fish at Rainbow Lake for 1 week, the total cost is around £1,000. This would include all your bait, travelling costs, food and fishing permit for the week.

It is in the South of France, near Bourdeaux, a famous wine growing region. This lake has some of the biggest carp in the world up to 40 kilos and beyond.
