Nazis were rosed to power by the conservative elite BECAUSE of the threat of the commies. The NSDAP even started to lose votes in the last (inconclusive) elections in the weimar republic.
Anyway what about the colaboration betwen nazi germany and USSR. That allowed hitler to conquer most of europe (because thats what staline wanted, non-comunist europe to fight among themselves).
France and England collaborated with Hitler till WW2 by alowing him to remilitarize Germany, anexing Sudetenland , and being to coward to say anything.
