  • the precher, Ptr.Anthony Mangun, all he want is for the people to praise the Lord!!

    God Bless Ptr!!!

  • Why do you want to serve someone? Seems like the preacher just wants people to serve him, since God doesn't show up. He gets people clapping in his direction anyway, so mission accomplished. I bet he's loaded with cash.

  • Wow. You know nothing. Don't speak such things when you do not know what you are speaking about. I know them. They are not loaded with cash. They sacrificed everything they had to start a church and win souls for the Lord. What you've said is a bunch of lies. I'll pray for you.

  • Well I'm sorry you see it that way.

  • Sorry, I got all worked up. I feel much better now. It's nice to vent a little. :o)

  • Glad you feel better. I have been to churches where I would agree that they are scammers, sadists, liers, ect. But I never found it in the UPCI.

  • I am sorry that your comments must be your total experience with Chrisianity. And I agree with you, there are many wolves and false prophets and false teachers, and people, "...whose God is their belly." They just want to trick people to get money. BUT, none of this changes the Name of Jesus, and one of these days, "As lightening flashes from the east to the west, so comes the Son of God in all His glory...to execute His judgement on all unrighteousness." Follow Jesus and you won't go wrong.

  • I was always told to love Jesus, as an instruction. It seemed to me that the quality of love can be lessened by any requirement that that love exist in the first place. How can I love someone I've never met anyway?

Many people say they love everyone, and that just seems to devalue love even more. If you splatter love all over everyone on Earth, you're spreading it thinly.

I say quality, not quantity, especially if this is supposed to be optional. In then end though, it's not, right?

  • If you join you will make the difference in the world and the Church as well. You will be a valuable person in the Lord's Hands. Overall, remember to love yourself and from theirinafter you will be able to reflect that love to others. You need to ask the Lord to be filled with the Holy Spirit and you will see the difference between Nominal Christians and Committed Christians. May the Lord Christ Bless and Keep You!

  • Is there any way to get to know God without the use of emotion? Religion seems like a big crying game of over-emotion. Well logic and reality don't bother with emotion, and for good reason. It clouds the senses and colors the vision. It makes you biased.

How about this: If Jesus died for your sins, why worship a dead man? If he rose again, where's the sacrifice?

    Think about it! Please. :o)

  • aajoeyjo, why question these things when the answers are in the Bible. Everything you need is within the Word of God.

  • Well if we go by the Bible, there really isn't much option. If there's only two choices, and you get punished for all eternity for choosing one of them, it's really not much of a choice, now is it?

Most Christians I know are much more compassionate than the God of the Bible. So if you wouldn't burn me in a hell forever just for not being a Christian, why worship something that would? That speaks to your morality, not just his.

  • I don't know much about you personally, your beliefs and such, so I'll tell you how I know Him. At 18 I had attempted suicide. My mother went to a pentecostal church while I was in the hospital. That church prayed for me, cities away from me, and God answered their prayer and I was healed instantly at the same time. My doctor couldn't explain it. Neither could I. If Jesus loved me, who was an Atheist, and once was in the occult, then I'm sure He loves everyone, whether they like it or not.

  • @jonn86 What an incredible testimony!!!!

  • @jonn86 That's incredible!! Makes me proud to be Pentecostal and proud to serve such a wonderful God!

  • That's hard to tackle in this tiny box.

Jesus lives. John 1:1 and 14 tell us that God and Jesus (flesh) are the same. The difficulty God knew man had following Old Testament laws (ie: sacrifices, diet) was a barrier to their salvation. He took on flesh to become the ultimate sacrificial lamb, changing the covenant between man and God. Details come from reading the Word with understanding. We've right and wrong choices in our spiritual lives like in our natural ones. He loves you. Choose God.
