do you use regular ink or special one?, also how do you coat it, and can you use iron instead of heat press?

use regular epson ink. coat for best image life time. iron will do the same job as heat press

Regular printers can't feed very thin paper - like sheets of NCR

Yes , ink does resist washing after coating and heat press. no problem to print on plastic, wood, PCB, glass ......etc.
