The boy is just to bad. Wonderful job, just makes my day. You are super cool dude, thanks for this great entertainment. Boy, even though I now live in Tennessee, this brings me right back to the streets of the French Quarter, hoppin and poppin with all the rest of the crowd that enjoys the flavor of the quarter. No other city in the world like New Orleans, Louisiana. Baby, get it on and tell us the news with the keyboard. Wonderful baby, just great. Dig it to the max.
The rhythm is spot on perfect. Thanks for not doing any stupid ass introduction that you think is funny but really isnt at all like so many idoits around here, too.
thanks for the reply. I grew up in NOLA, spent lots of time on the neutral ground watching FESS and the Dr. through the fan. you truly have mastred the sound.
Excellent. I was about to request "Hey Now Baby", but this is pretty much the same comp Fess uses on that song? I was wondering if you could make a video demonstrating your songs from your book "Blues Preludes"? Especially the New Orleans style, so I know if it's reachable for me to play :) It would also be nice to have as reference when buying the book.
Thank you! - I do have one vid up here that illustrates at least one of the pieces from the book - "Blues Preludes" is now in its second edition which comes with 7 pieces total now! - the 7 run the gamut from easy to intermediate
It's safe to say that you've hit a homer in the New Orleans Piano Blues ballpark, this is definitely a classic and perfect of how complex, rhythmic and heart-warming Professor Longhair's music is and I imagine that Fess would be looking down and smiling with pride as he's tapping his feet to the rhythm :)
Top rating once again for top class playing, and thank you very much for sharing this :)
Great playing! I love all your videos. In fact, I have put some on my ipod. Hope you don't mind! Keep up the fantastic playing. You have a real talent.
Get the free program off of Google called "Free YouTube to MP3 Converter" to convert videos to mp3 files. Just copy the URL in the address bar and paste it into the program. Then click the "download" button to download it. Copy and paste your new mp3 file to your ipod folder.

Great again, Matt! You've really got Fess's essential style down. This has a powerful sense of drive to it. Fess had that.
