I race an 2010 Speed3 whit my stock (back then) 08 speed3 and i won by 3 length of a car... probably the driver in this case but still de 1st generation of Speed3's is the best in looks and performance.

The new one have the same engine as the old one but mazda limit the output of it at lower speed (I not sure if it's a lower speed or lower RPM) to reduce torgue steer. But the new one is faster at higher speed thanks to it's low drag some says ugly design. The new one also have improve handling. and the new one is a better girls magnet then the old one. female seems find it easier to accept and love the smiley face then male and I kinda know why

Lo que dice este carnalito es verdad, y es por cuestion de garantia nada mas. pero sin algun problema en la misma agencia te hacen el arreglo electronicamente o en alguna agencia especializada aqui en puebla hay varios que lo hacen y eso es todo.... Los hp si son los que dice el fabricante.... pero denle un chanse a que el motor asiente mejor cuando lleve al menos 5000 km. No es por presuncion pero es lo recomendable. y la verdad se notan..... mejora circunstancielmente la entrega de torque-par

@Razecflow el mazda 2010 es mas lento que el 2008 en el arrancon, pero al llegar a los 100 kms el 2008 se queda atras poco a poco, la toma de aire en cofre y el intercooler trabajar en conjunto para dar un mejor rendimiento.

es demasiado poder para un carro asi de pequeño, todo ese torque no es posible aprovecharlo al acelerar a fondo y pasar esa fuerza a las llantas delanteras.

pero aun asi sigue siendo un super auto!

El mazadaspeed 2010 tiene limitadas la presion del turbo en primera y segunda velocidad para evitar el torque steer, por eso es mas lento en un arrancon.

Un arrancon nomide q tan rapido es un carro o que tan bueno, mejor llevenlo a una pista :D

@ambientflier The 2010 is a bit slower on the 0-60 but is faster for the quarter mile ASSUMING (which you can't haha) that both cars are bone stock and that the drivers are equal in skill. I have a 2010 myself, but I like both generations for different reasons. =)

@airzamora23 de una manera u otra aunq dcen que el 2010 trae limitado electronicamente la entrea de torque ( que si es vdd el 2010 ya se la pelo contra el 2008 ) Mazda tien que revisar TODOS sus speeed 3 .. ya que en pruebas de ambos arrojaron 230 y no 260 como anuncian extraoficialmente, lo que lo hace mas lento que sus rivales directos, ST, Leon FR, GTI entre otros. Si ese zoom zoom entrega su cifra, es el coche mas barato por caballo sin ser desechables como los mopar. Saludos! :D

The only mechanical change is the LSD transaxle that sends equal torque to each wheel, but this makes a lower acceleration from 0 to 60 ( that´s why the 2010 was behind the old one) after that both are the same

Yea, but the hood scoop make a better air circulation. In that way, at the quatermile, both car are equal. At this point, the new 2010 is a bit faster at this quater mile (99 mph (2009) vs 101 mph (2010) as I remember).

the gearing was re tuned on the 2010 speed3, it traps higher 1/4 then the older speed3, but it's 0 - 60 is slower.
