  • Great song but it is playing a 1/4 cent fast. Probably form a tape or record

  • @zanik00 lol...i thought the vocals sounded a bit "Off"...a liitle high pitched

  • i'd definitely like to see a drum cover. anyone?

  • AHHH pops from a vinyl disk.... don't miss those.... but I do miss album covers that are good for rollin'

  • tHANK YOU FOR SHARING- so what- MEMMORIES

  • Hey pepperwhite want 2 know how u may have missed this one? It is what is called a deep cut. It does not appear on greatest hits or compilations. The best way to enjoy it for years to come is to get a cd of 1974 So What? Every song is awsome. I have album, 8 track, cassette, and 2 cd's. One of my all time fav's. I always keep one cd in house and carry another with me.

  • As a lifelong JW fan I got to ask myself " How did I miss this one?" Thanks for uploading and making this nice video.

  • I've never been a big fan of the drums as I know pretty much nothing about them so this is a huge compliment. This drummer is amazing. I'm a huge fan of Joe Walsh and this is a great song but I kept hitting replay to listen to the drummer. I may not know much about drums, but I do know talent when I hear it. Very impressive. Actually, there is nothing BUT talent in this band.

  • @Msdistarr The drummer is legendary Joe Vitale, certainly one of the best rock drummers of that era

  • @Msdistarr joe vitale...a great drummer..very underated..

  • The grain makes it look like it was filmed in the 70;s. Great video, best one on youtube.

  • My am "still at the fair.. (i.e. lost)." My "..will be forever.,"

  • Great video & audio combonation... and so cool that you choose vinyl!

  • Joe Walsh and The James Gang kicked ass in the early 70s`.

I mostly go for the British bands but The James gang and Mountain were the very best American bands of all time.

I grew up in the 80s` but love the 70s` hard rock best.

Metallica and Megadeth rock but could be blowen away by The Who.

  • cool cycles ... vintage. love it !!

  • fell in love with this song again ...

  • Go Pre

  • Joe Walsh is without a doubt one of the top 5 guitarists in the world who could be considered great. A true pioneer of progressive rock

  • Maybe it's just how I see it, but it's truly sad how the music industry treats these amazing musicians from the '70's. These guys gave birth to what we now know as "GREAT" Rock and yet they get very little, if any airplay. It seems they bleed the cash cow dry and send it off to pasture, never to open the gate again. The radio stations are just as bad. Presently, there are some really good bands out there. Problem is, not nearly enough to fill a radio stations airtime with quality music.

  • One thing Joe doesn't do is hurry - he takes his time, and the music is delicious and mesmerizing as a result - totally American Midwest rock, he's an American classic

  • Great Tunes! Nice video too. Thanks for sharing.

  • That is a nice job with the video and thanks for posting that. It goes strangely perfect to this tune. Awesome song

  • headphones are mandatory for all of JW songs

  • your vids are amazing trichoone, this ones for you, keep up the great work.Marty

  • Hey trichoone what year was this video you took?

  • @beyondonethousand ,2008 my friend .

  • @trichoone

I just love your video to this song. I find I keep playing it over and over and never tire of it. It looks like a nice family outing. The song matches your video. All the best to you trichoone and thanks for posting this. Few guys could write laid back tunes like Walsh.

  • did somebody ask what the name of the song is?? you gotta be sh@ttin' me....

  • great song to play loud

  • ... where has innovation like this gone ? I am not hearing it on the corporate agenda's airwaves? did you know that essentially all available stations are boughten up by special interest ? .... sad

  • I agree with revup67 re the drumming, it's exceptional. I listen to this track almost on a daily basis, and the drums give me goosebumps every time. Perfect.

  • Hey the steering wheels are all on the wrong side! This must be in England..... LOL

Thanks for sharing I haven't heard this in many years.

  • Hey the steering wheels are all on the wrong side! This must be in England.....

Thanks for sharing I haven't heard this in many years.

  • Hey the steering wheels are all on the wrong side!

  • A really nice posting. The song brings back such great memories and the video is really cool. The guitar solo thru the headphones was one of the best ever!

  • cant get over how much those bears - I mean dogs look like bears :P

  • This person is (and please accept this comment from a lover of Daltrey, reed, cooper, Anderson, Lake, Dylan, Cohen, Mitchell, Gucci mane, Bufalo Tom, Yes, and Placebo. Which means basically , I love all music. Cause that was about every category you could mention. Yea even Polka and Armenian music (Thats Me!). I met real Rock and roll in 1976. Joe and ZZ top were among my indoctrinizeres. I miss it so much. If anyone went to Shadow mtn. High in 76-78 , leave a mess. I'm always list. to Joe.

  • Vitale rocks his ass off!

  • Is this from the LP record album? It's been along time since I've heard those "pops" that a record makes! COOL it's takes me back to the good old days of listening to records...

  • Well Hell Ya Tricheoone, Nicely done to one of my all time favorites, What a haunting melody, Ya know Joe Married Ringos Sister In Law Huh?

  • Years ago, I began referring to Joe Walsh as "The Master of Slow Rock". Still think it fits. For those who may have missed them, I'd say his best work was his first three solo albums: Barnstorm; The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get; and So What. I still remember when I first heard the song "Falling Down" from So What on the radio, and I ran out and bought my first Joe Walsh album. Still one of my favorites songs.

  • Without Limits

  • Idiots on idiot cycles....family...kids and dogs...must be Sunday...Yawn!....HEY WAIT!....it's a county fair........Joe!

  • nice job! enjoyed the heck outa the bikes and the tunes. walsh rules.

  • joe vitale is probably my favorite drummer, hes got a very unique style that i love to borrow licks from...........not sayin hes the best........... just like his style

  • I was lucky enough to meet him in Hiroshima, Japan during the first Ringo Starr's first All-Starr band tours. We were the only American's (6 of us) in the crowd and it was such a trip to get to meet him. Such a nice guy! WASIWIG (What you see is what you get) with Joe. Thanks for posting. One of my favorite albumn's by him.

  • I saw Joe Walsh in 1974 in San Diego. It was my 1st concert at the ripe old age of 14. It was FANTASTIC!! All other concerts were compared to this one (tough act to follow). I think he was under-appreciated for his talent. His songs are amazing and will always stand up to anything produced now. No Contest. Lastly, he appears to be such an approachable, down to earth kinda guy. Thats says alot for someone in my book!

  • Sweet vid; reminds me of country fairs in Kent where we took the kids.

  • Holy SHIT. I mistook those dogs for bears. I wouldn't be surprised if some Cujo shit took place in that fair.

  • The vid really fits,ty

  • The BOMBER! :o)

  • I love this song!

  • whats the name of the song that is mainly hamonica playing

  • @bluegrassaaron turn to stone:) is the name of a song that walsh did from that era, that had a kick ass harmonica solo break in it. especially the live version. PEACE!

  • This song, and an Alpine I had in a '71 Olds Cutlass are part of the reason I have ringing in my ears now...hope when all hearing is gone I can still imagine Joe tearing up the lead in this...thanks for the post!

  • @ranmore20002000

LOL! I had a 69 Cutlass, GOOD THING I CAN READ! (Does it sound good?) Seriously, I say this one is a lost treasure, thanks Youtube for having an avenue for expiriencing like this! Especially for young people who never heard it!

  • more timeless rock n roll...love it...thanks for posting

  • Found an old puzzle somebody had quit Tried a few pieces and hoped that they fit But they're going together so slowly It may take me forever to know If it's only a puzzle Parts of the puzzle will never be found And even though pieces are gone It's a county fair picture Part of me's there Some of the pieces are still at the fair And it may be forever The entire lyrics. Need he have said =any= more? Cleveland (truly) rocks.
  • right on brother!!grew up here and been lovin it forever!!!!!!!!!!!! u

    ghtmoses

  • Beautiful song.

  • Peace... :-))

  • What a great song. There are a handful of rock artists that really hit me personally, for whatever reason, and Joe Walsh is one of them.

  • Joe Vitale Rocks.

  • Great Bikes (british) great tune/video

  • This song takes me way back to 1972 at the Madison fair in Wisconsin. Thanks for posting it.

  • Very appropriate video footage to go with a great tune from Mr Walsh.

  • joe's a top guy .

  • Love the reverse reverb on the geetar break [shame this track is in mono tho'], and what a great 'homebrew' vid too! Used to play this loads on the radio, good ol' Joe

  • Comment removed

  • The solo is incredible. Just very short bursts of notes. Very much like T. Bone Walker and Guitar Slim.

Joe filters a lot of old guitar players into his playing but it always sounds like him.

    Quite a feat.

  • I used to listen to this song stoned back in 1975, and I stoned right now.

  • I love this psychadelic laid back goove tune. Walsh puts down a guitar like few did. Enjoy this kind of groovy pleasure because we aren't going to get this again.

  • @beyondonethousand

If my dreams mean anything, then this will come again, let's not lose hope.

  • @flatSplat

I liked your comment. I have nostalgia, too...Don't lose hope, we can all get together, reawaken, renew the vibe, the spirit! Can we have nostalgia for the present? Maybe so, if we co-create the right-eous kind of reality!

    Maybe so....

    Kris

  • Used to play this song full blast in high school. Blew the roof off the house.

  • You can never have too much phaser.

  • there's always been two joe walshs for me

    light-hearted joe and melancholy joe

they re both important joes to me too

well now that i think of it

there're 3 joes -- just plain ol' rockin' joe' too (three?)

but as much as i dig the other two joes

melancholy joe will always be first among equals

songs like county fair just stay with you after the others have gone

like recalling a memory that's kinda sad but you re still okay w/ it and thankful to have it

    thanx cool vid too

  • Great song that you don't hear very often.

The video gives it a nice touch

Good Job, Joe would be proud!!!

  • Thankyou DR

  • Just Fantastic.

    Thanks for this.

    I mean Just Fantastic

  • one of my favorite songs, Vitale's great & of course Joe too....might add Cozy Powell & Richard Hayward to that list of drummers carry on

  • Is jimmy page playing on this;

  • Well, this is certainly authentic, vintage Joe Walsh...straight off the Vinyl. Pretty Cool!

  • this is far out!!!!

  • Great Song...............Love IT!!!!

    nba5150

  • Phenomenal song. Commonly overlooked is the ardent drumming by Joe Vitale. Having been a drummer since 1972 myself, this song (like many Vitale tracks) is one of the most dynamic and fun songs to play. To play it correctly takes finesse and skill of which most modern rock drummers don't have (few exceptions). Excellent post.

  • i could not agree more, joe vitale is one of the best of his time .

  • Wow someone else who is a Joe2 fan (Joe squared- Walsh and Vitale)

This is a great post and video!

  • Its Called the "Thunder Drop" Vitale had it so did Bonham

  • @revup67 The melodic flow of the toms is heard and as quickly dismissed by most folks... unfortunately

  • thank you thank you thank you for this beautiful video. i cannot think of a more perfect tribute to Joe Walsh's amazing song, than this poignant and powerful series of vignettes from a real, old-fashioned county fair. these are the real things we need to treasure and insure they always go on. bravo!

  • Nice video Trichoone. lso

Country Fair is so laid back and groovin.

Also love Rocky Mountain Way, Meadows, and Welcome to the Club.

Walsh is a very musical guitarist and can lay the groove down like few can.

  • Joe Walsh's holy trinity of best songs - Dreams, County Fair and The Confessor...

  • great video!great job!joe walsh rocks!

  • I remember this song from the movie "without limits" awesome

  • The song doesn't matter.

  • it sure was. I was just watchin this movie and i had to find out tha name of this song. I could run for days while listening to this song. lol

  • One of Cleveland's early psychedelic guitar players. He's consistently produced intelligent, emotive work with occasional flashes of wry humor. Being a midwest kid of that time I always relate.

  • more than occasional...Joe has a wicked sense of humor and I think it often comes out. He's amazing, really.

  • good comment

  • Thanks.

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS SONG???

  • as in the title --County Fair

  • Joe Walsh, never get let down with!!!1

  • What a treat, thanks! I was about 11 when my grandfather gave me my first motorcycle, it was a Honda CB 360. Over time, I changed for a Yamaha Enduro DT 250. I guess in the way prices of gas are skyrocketing, will be smart to go back to the good old time, no to mention fun! Thanks!! ;)

  • very nice my friend. Vintage iron, greasy food, and the sun to our backs.

  • thankyou , yes a good day .
