Lol, other Painter user here.

The blender tools in Painter far surpass the limited smudge tool in Photoshop. Blenders in Painter have all sorts of textures and settings that make them work a lot better, in my opinion.

SAI, since it was created for drawing alone unlike photoshop programs which is used for mainly for picture editing but it does depend on which verson of photoshop you buy. But to me, SAI is much better in its price and quality.

SAI I'd say! ^^ I agree with naruto, much better for drawing in total. :3 But I also think GIMP is good for drawing.... ^^;

Hmm is this a vector image? because I found out what I don't like about my stuff, it's always pixally, no matter how large or small I make it before I start painting. Please help people, it's killing my work! Also I get white spots appearing when I try to smudge or even use the burn or dodge tools. (I use Photoshop CS3 if that helps?)

Nope, it's not vector. It was inked with PaintToolSAI. I'm not sure what the problem may be. Make sure to nor work the colours in the same layer the linework is.

I use different layers for my work, the problem is I'd use SAI if only it wasn't such a hard programe to get hold of, or not in japanese.

Yup, I usually have one for skin, one for eyes, one for hair, and several for the clothes (if they have multiple colors).

Although photoshop is very gd and expensive, i don't find it very handy to draw with and most people on youtube seem to use SAI. Thanx, i may consider getting that...

tried that, they're okayish now i guess, my pics didn't have enough pixels i think so they looked rather pixelly and i didn't get a clear or sharp enough pic. Plus i think i have to range in colour tone a bit more, not sure though how to get a pic as high quality as this though...
