1: The Legendary Fisherman was in Attack Mode (1850 ATK) against a boosted 2550 ATK from Fortress Whale.

2: LIke they said, Panther Warrior was just counterattacking, so no sacrifice needed.

3: LIghtning Blade actually is an equip spell for Warrior Type monsters (like Panther Warrior) and it reduces the attack of Water Attribute monsters.

@Junayd100 His Panther didn't attack, the whale attacked. The Panther had enough attack points to deflect the attack and destroy the whale. The Panther doesn't need a sacrifice if he is attacked.

@Magic0loc0 I think lightning blade has a secondary effect that reduces water type monsters power along with boosting lightning types(but like yourself im not 100% on that)

Why would mako give Joey his fisherman too, now his deck is just horrible. If i was joey i would have took both his cards and ripped them in half. Both of them suck lol j/k but i wouldn't have bothered taking those cards because they really serve no purpose, maybe the fisherman is ok

@ForneverWorld ummm cause for every locator card u get the rarest card in deck, and mako had 2 rarest cards. Fisherman and whale. As for weevle, joey got his 2 rarest. Parasite and Insect Queen.

Why did the writers feel it was necessary for Mako to give Joey Fortress Whale? It's not like he ever used it...and it was kinda useless without Fortress Whale Oath...

@Autopilot1986 No, he never uses it. When he duels Odion, he uses Legendary Fisherman along with Jinzo and Insect Queen, but Fortress Whale is never seen or heard from again.

Yeah you do, it's Panther Warrior's drawback for being a level 4 powerhouse. Its effect states that it can only attack if you sacrifice one monster. I've used it in GX Spirit Caller, and Atticus Rhodes also used the Panther Warrior in his duel against Alexis in GX, only instead of Scapegoat, he used Stray Lambs

Kunai with Chain has the special ability to attack instantly. Even though Panther Warrior requires a sacrifice to attack, Kunai's special ability allows it to go.
