I would love to visit Salem and about nine hundred other places rich with that kind of history. As a firm believer in ghosts, I think there must be plenty imprinted on the very fabric of that town like the wax seal on an envelope holding the letter containing all the names of witches the Christian murderers wanted burned for one ridiculous reason or another. Rest in peace, all those who were killed by a noose or rocks on the chest simply because they lived alone in the woods or had an accent.

can u BELIEVE they are tearing the jail down to build apartments?!?! who wants to live on the grounds of an old jail AND near an old cemetery?!? that is so AWFUL of the city to do that!

Quick Note: Roughly 220 people died in Salem Jail. There's a trap door which they hanged a good bunch of individuals in the dining room. The Howard St Cemetery also harbors a lot of people who died in the jail.

When you visited the cemetery near the wax museum, the big letters in the cement on the ground, the cracks and the quotes the victims had said represented their pleas, but nobody listening to them. Which is why it looks so tarnished today.

Great job! Quick note: George and Jonathan Corwin were cousins. George was the sheriff buried were the Joshua Ward house is now and Jonathan was a judge who lived in what is now called "The Witch House". Also, You got a *great* shot of the inside of the jail, there really isn't any good footage of the inside during construction and that one is awesome.

Hmmm....could this place have influenced Lovecraft for his story ' The Case of Chales Dexter Ward ' ? Joshua Ward = Charles Ward, Johnathan Corwin =Joseph Curwin. Pretty close, and struck me as weird.
