    I want to use cinelerra and I have install Ubuntu 10.10 on a machine.

    Ubuntu works fine : reading video, music and other.

    I have try to install, I have some error messages :

    For short, there are problemes with the publics keys. Are there some differences between the installation on ubuntu 9.10 and ubuntu 10.10 ?

  • @chienassis I have the same key problem, this clears it up for me: sudo -i apt-get clean cd /var/lib/apt rm -r lists.old mv lists lists.old mkdir -p lists/partial apt-get clean apt-get update repeat as needed
  • @chienassis im having problems with cinelerra recognizing formats though

  • In Cinelerra, when I try to view a video, for some reason it's fast forwarded and theres no audio, please help! :(

    I think I got it...I am using GTK-Recordmydesktop to make the screencasts, you can install it by looking it up in the ubuntu software center or by using synaptics

    Wellllll still not for non geek this linux... think i goes back to my mac not so much time to waste...

  • @supertoni06 Control + X , after that type Y and Enter if you use nano. If its hard you can use "sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list"

    I used this method. It seemed to install alright until I tried to render when I funny colours on Quicktime video and No video on AVI. Do you know what I could have done well?

    1. I am considering using ffmpeg for video conversion and i am a little hesitant because you must use commands to use it.

    2. Also considering installing winff which is a GUI for ffmpeg.

    3. I am having some trouble playing videos, mpeg1 to precise.

  • I honestly don't know but since it is ubuntu base I would give it a shot on a test machine if you have one.
