  • @paulmbraden troll of some kind? He was born in 8th of January, 1947 which is 20th Century, please get your facts right.

  • Comment removed

  • @paulmbraden umm yes i know it is..? And when it's example year 1975, it's called a part of 20th century. And right now we live the 21st century (yes I did have a mistake in my writing, my original language isn't English, as you can see but it seems that most of the viewers of my comment understood what I meant xD)

And I don't appreciate anonymous people calling others with names, that is just stupid -.-

  • @pinssimies I find what you said somewhat amusing "born in absolutely the wrong time. fuck the 21st century". Bowie's music, his Ziggy image, and the spirit of the 1970's was all about looking towards the future. They would have loved to have been born in the future.

  • @jamuses Well of course my naiveness when it comes to fangirling has the absence of brain xD and it is all about admireing and pure desire to see Bowie, in those days. :D

  • @pinssimies I grew up in a small canadian town in "those days",no chance of seeing him live ,but i had all the lps and i dreamed about it,,now it's the future and I can see it all ,enjoy it man. I am.

  • @jamuses very interesting obsevation and very true!

  • @jamuses right on

  • @pinssimies

Dude . . . you're an idiot. Every decade had bad, mainstream music. The 2000's may have not been as special as some 70's albums, but they were sure as hell close. Plus, you have the internet to reflect back on it. And if you were born in the 60's/70's, you probably would of listened to shitty disco or hair metal bands.

  • @aijunk2 You confuse me with your rampage. Yes I know every decade had their own mainstream music, and I do listen to "shitty" disco and hair metal. And dozens of other genres from several decades. But does it actually matter? Let's just enjoy the music. And sorry for everyone, if I've annoyed you with my naive comments.

  • @pinssimies

No, you don't understand it all. You're diluted and think, just because it's old, it's good. Disco and hair metal SUCK. 50's-present mainstream music for the most part SUCK. Your main complaint is that you were born in the wrong generation, when that is totally irrelevant because every decade has BAD mainstream music. However, this decade has somewhat of an advantage because you have easy access to good music. Dumbshit.

  • @aijunk2 Aah, now I got it. First of all please do not call me an idiot, diluted or dumbshit, it pretty much erases every smart thing you said. And it's not the music alone, it's the concerts, the phnomenon, the glam rock culture that doesn't excist in the same way anymore, and my dream is to experience it like it was. Music doesn't suck, we just have different opinions about it. And I listen a lot more than just "old" music.

  • @pinssimies

Well . . . let's start over then. I'm not sure what you're really into, but David Bowie is a good mutuality between us. Here are album suggestions if you have not heard of them (as in listened, not just hearing of it). Pixies: Surfer Rosa, Doolittle. Joy Division: Unknown Pleasure, Closer. Stooges: Fun House, Raw Power. Radiohead: The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A, In Rainbows. My Bloody Valentine: Loveless. Violent Femmes: Violent Femmes.

    :)

  • @aijunk2 Yeah, thanks, I dig most of those bands, but not too much part of the fandom, but I really need to listen them more, especially Joy Division, The Stooges and Radiohead. I've been stuck in the 20s jazz and 80-90s metal lately despite the eternal 70s dreaming, and I really need to "spread" out more xD

  • @pinssimies

Continued: And if you haven't (and I hope you have) check out the entire album, The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders from mars . . . aka, this song is on this album: And so are the amazing tracks like: Five Years, Soul Love, Moonage Daydream, Starman, This song, Lady Stardust, Star, Hang Onto Yourself, Ziggy Stardust, Suffragette City, Rock 'n' Roll Suicide. And to tell you the truth, this song is the weakest on the album, but that's not really saying much.

  • @aijunk2 yes I own the album, and I must agree with you, when it comes to this song; it's not the strongest piece in this album, unlike Five years or Rock n' roll suicide. And in my opinion, this isn't my favorite albums at all actually, I'm more into Hunky Dory and other pre-Ziggy and of course the bizarrness of the Outside era :)

  • @pinssimies

Oh, so I see your a big Bowie fan. It's just amazing how talented he is. You're into Bowie's more glam rock type of work where i'm into the more experimental stuff, like Heroes and Low. It's sad that I haven't really gotten into Hunky Dory and Diamond Dogs (which I hear isn't his best work, but has some really good tracks on it). I suggest you try these Bowie albums, Low, Heroes, Station To Station and Aladdin Sane. That stuff really reminds me of the band Neu and Radiohead.

  • @aijunk2 Yes Aladdin Sane was my favorite as a kid, and I've listened all those albums. I love the Berlin Era, and even though Lodger didn't get too good reviews, it's one of my favorites. Hunky Dory is a five star album, seriously, in my opinion some of his best lyrics are on that album! yes I really enjoy the outrageous glam phenomenom, I can appeal to it

  • @pinssimies

    Hmm . . . I'm curious, how old are you? I'm assuming you're at least over 20.

  • Hee Hee.....Tommy.......:)

  • David Bowie is an Absolute Alien genius

  • Check the Bettye LaVette version . . . That's rough.

  • anybody remember hearing this on an old ABC-TV Movie Of the Week called "Go Ask Alice"?...about a young runaway teen chick who gets hooked on dope?

  • Alright - thumbs up!

  • Ron Davies wrote it, Bowie's vocal is a very close copy to Davies.

  • LIKE

  • @rick4318 no

    ADORE

  • i got this song sung by Dave Edmunds.

  • This is the name of Long John Baldry's biography: "It Aint Easy". Great song - both Bowie and Baldry's. Great bio too.

  • best version of the song!

  • Search: It Ain't Easy - Long John Baldry

  • Yes, Mick Ronson as well as the albums before and after Ziggy. Probably the BEST Bowie lineup ever.

  • IS this still Mick Ronson on guitar? It sounds like it might be his guitar style, but I'm not sure. Bowiephiles?

  • paul machnau

  • I remember the first time I heard this song, within that moment, I live forevver

  • The Scarred covered this song it took me a long time to notice that. xD

  • saw three dog night cover this song tonight , hilight of the show for me

  • I soooo want to do a cover of this Bowie song! It's one of my all time Bowie faves...pure class!!

  • LOVE THIS!!

  • a little audio-error....but hey..there's a crack in everything,that's how the light gets in!!(-:coco

  • ooooh yeah... this was the epitome of classic rock... I agree.. pottc1 never heard 3 dog nite.. and no.. bowie is the ORIGINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mickmaag Glad you are passionate about this version, but it was originally written and recorded by Ron Davies. There is his version posted here on youtube.

  • @rooneyt00nes no kidding... never knew.. will look it up.. thanks...

  • but it's worth it

  • Never loved any and I mean any album (pre-cd) more than Ziggy Stardust......... Too many unbelievable memories, Bowie set the standard for the wanna be followers. Rock and orchestral combination just totally way ahead of the rest of the music world back then. Bloody Spot On Senior Bowie

  • @pottc1 I'm with ya ~~ !!

  • Sorry, but this version scares me! I M-U-C-H prefer the bluesy Three Dog Night version (original?).

  • @mkcdy1 Ron Davies is the original, then Three Dog Night, then Bowie I believe. Bowie's being probably the worst of the three.

  • @InhumanRocknRoll wow i just got done listening to ron davies, it was incredible. but bowie rocks it too.

  • My favorite Bowie song and I know them ALL!!!

  • @xenokyle my fave too got me to thinking

  • extra texture in music ...

  • cool this clip is available to rip on that site mp4ify as mp3 or mp4 files - lookup on any search engine mp4ify

  • RT: mp4ify (.) com is the bomb for youtube mp4s :)

  • I still wanna know what a "Hoochie Coochie Woman" is. Either way, it's fabulous, my favourite line.

  • @RoboTakoYon Hoochie Coochie Woman is an old blues term coined by 1930's black musicians for an amoral woman...a ho', bro.

  • one of his lesser known but better tracks I'd say

  • @dubsteppersdelight Is it really lesser known? I would think anyone who's ever owned the Ziggy Startust album would know it. Maybe I'm wrong. Glad to meet any fans of David anyway!

  • great track !!
