  • Dang if I knew about this last year i could have taken a photo of the display they had at our neighborhood of a few caged big cats ;n;

  • @minerfamilyrules yes :)

  • i heard that the jugar is the sloth and cant be trusted and the puma is the lair and trickster the lion is the commander of the big cats and is an god pet this is based on native american story is this true?

  • @croburke No big cats ever make good "pets" They are all cunning and dangerous.

  • @BigCatRescue i mean whats the normal act for a lion or puma do they act the same or differnt in what why?

  • @croburke All cats basically act in the same way from your domestic cat to a 500lb tiger they all have the same traits :)

  • i heard that the jugar is the sluth and cant be trusted and the puma is the lair and trickster the lion is the commander of the big cats and is an god pet this is based on natvie amercian storys i need some bodys help on the person nalate of the big cats so help me plz

  • Please come to Thailand... The tigers here are treated like shit. the display ones are always drugged and look tired and slow. they get forced up by the caretakers for taking a photograph and their necks pulled so their faces look stretched and perky.. and not look drugged.. Fucking hell.

  • @gurubhai01 We wish we could rescue every cat that needs a good home but this simply isn't possible. What we all can do is speak up for these animals that can't speak for themselves, put pressure on the people who are exploiting them for profit and government officials who allow this. Please visit our website CatLaws*com to find out how to help :)

  • I don't have an iphone but my older sibling does and I can ask ask them if they will download it!

  • i have a iphone

  • gosh darn it just another reason to get an iphone i need one badly LOL

  • Lol its funny that the guy is talking but the girl is doing the Iphone.

Kinda Looks like he got a manicure.

  • I have to say, this app is just a great idea.

  • that lady had some ugly nails!

  • how can i do this without a i- phone? will a picture flip phone work?

  • I'm not sure have you tried to download the app on your phone? Does it work?

  • since i don't have an Iphone i can't do this either. i am raising money here in owensboro kentucky for BCR. i plan on bringing the money to BCR as soon as i think i have enough that will actually help. i have stopped animal abuse all my life and i don't plan on stopping now. i will forever be an animal lover and i will speak out the the innocent.

  • Thanks for your support and for helping animals, hope you can make it to the sanctuary someday to see the cats in person! :)

  • =) im getting an iphone soon and i will definably get this app =)

  • Enjoy the iPhone and thanks for downloading our app :)

  • I'm following now. Thanks guys =]

  • 'EXCELLENT INFORMATION. thanks for posting. i know most zoos do the best they can for the cats, but there is still a long way to go. a big cat should not have to 'pace.' thanks for posting.

  • good to see some people actually doing something about it like yourself. these are beautiful creatures some of which being endangered species, we must do what we can to help preserve such magnificent animals on our planet. i commend you sir on your hard work :)

  • Just think of having a pet tiger this way. You were at a party and came home and didn't remember to feed the tiger. You go to bed and then, in the middle of the night, something big, ornage, and hungry mauls and eats you. Yeah, EVERYONE should have a pet big cat.

  • Please, people think, my tamed down feral domestic cat can jump a 5 ft. fence. A wild cat could tear your face or hands in 5 seconds. It's not meant to be. You don't know when that wild animal will become "spooked" by something you don't even register and that animal will strike out of fear.

  • Thanks for commenting, it would be great if everybody shared the same opinion!

  • Hey, I have been looking up big cats a lot lately and have become extremely interested in them. Watching videos on youtube, some people have them as house pets and they seem very loved and tame, and it's very heartwarming to see this. Is it wrong to have a big cat as a house pet? and why?

  • Hi, yes we think it's wrong to be keeping these cats as "pets" the videos you see may be the exception to the rule, but all big cats are very dangerous and they may be fine for a while but once they reach sexual maturity they don't want much to do with you unless you have food. In the wild they would be roaming hundreds of square miles and to stick them in a small cage for the rest of their lives or letting them live in your home is definitely wrong! What do you think?

  • Just from the video evidence, you see these people with full grown big cats, cougars and pumas especially and they seem very sweet. One guy had his for 16 years and he did everything with it. It doesn't seem wrong to me if you can actually love and nurture it. What about if you have a really big property? I mean you guys seem to have a huge property that is just as caged in as a house, or a backyard cage.

  • As I said before these are the exceptions to the rules and very short videos/glimpse into keeping these animal. I know form personal experience working around these cats for years, keeping one as a "pet" would be a very bad idea. We have 45 acres and around 130 RESCUED cats, that would of been in far worse situations or dead if we didn't rescue them :)

  • of course the videos you see on youtube are the good ones. i can just imagine sum1 recording being mauled half to death by a tiger that just wasn't in a good mood and in their last moments uploading the video onto youtube.......

  • I totaly agree!! big cats like tigers, lions, jaguars, cougars, and all other types shouldn't be kept as pets! to big of a risk! and plus, why have a pet that is capable of ripping out your guts, and besides that these animals deserve so much better than that. Glad that there are people like you guys on the planet :)

  • Lots of good points there! We wish everybody saw things this way :)

  • Some people hunted some Siberian Tigers. That thing shall not happen.

  • four questions: bigcatresue is a non-profit organization right? so where do you guys receive the funds to take care of the cats? what about salary? surely you guys are getting paid right?

i want to work at BCR. after my shift i would lounge atop the tree-house and smoke a joint while watching and being mesmerized by these beautiful creatures

  • Yes, we are a non-profit organization, we do not receive any government funding, we raise funds by giving tours of the sanctuary, individual donors, company sponsors etc.. we don't have many staff member that do get paid, we rely on our volunteer force to help keep BCR running smoothly :)

  • 0:49 this is so sad, these people need to give these cats to a sanctuary -your sanctuary :)- rather than having a really beautiful black leopard in a cage that is obviously to small, people need to realize what they are doing to these animals...

  • Thanks for commenting, you are 100% correct the look in the leopard's eyes were that of a broken spirit and the noise in that place was unbearable for me, very sad, but we're doing our best to end this abuse :)

  • I agree! That is so heartbreaking.

It's sad how adults capitalize on these animals misery. I wish people could get this message out to our children and their generation can make up for our's and many in the past. Let these beautiful creatures live long healthy lives, not what many have had to endure :( Thanks again for another video of a great message.

Wish I had an iphone but my daughter still wants to be a ST Sleuth :) I hope you guys get many pictures to save these cats!

  • Thanks we hope this app will help us end big cat abuse, thanks for watching!

  • aww i wish i had an iPhone. if i did i'd totally download this!

  • I know how you feel I want an iPhone now too :)

  • aww i don't have an iPhone :(( but if i did i'd sooo download this

  • how much difrent tiger species are ther i bleve its bout 3 kind`s if im wrong just say oke i wand to know XD

  • There is 6 different sub species of tiger, bengal, siberian, sumatran, malayan, indochinese and south china :)

  • Some people say sounth china tigers no longer exist anymore, is that true?

  • There have been several reports and they may be reintroduced in to nature reserves in the wild of china in the future???

  • aw, only if i had an iphone.

  • I know me too! I really wanna get one now though :)

  • They have an add for that.

  • I love what you do.,.. Keep on doing it... You're great. The world would have been a much better place if everyone cared as much about animals as you do... <3

  • Thank you very much we will keep on doing what we can :)

  • I'm visiting the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa in December!!! YAY!

  • Cool, literally the cats like the cooler weather too, so they'll be more active and goofy for you :)

  • When I was in Lebanon about 6 years ago, there were all types of animals that were obviously not being well taken care of in this one seasonal zoo. Including a female lioness and tiger. One of the men was going to let me pet the tiger because he saw how in love I was with it. But I said "No animals shouldn't be messed with." But he was being a douche, so he like tapped the tiger on the nose through the fence and the tiger started growling :[ I really wanted to just put them in a better place.

  • People like that are everywhere they get these cats and "discipline" them in order to feel powerful and uniques because they own a tiger, so sad. We wish we could rescue every cats we hear about, it just comes down to cost all the time and we already have over 130 big cats right now, I wonder where those animals are now?

  • haha. Its like calling the cat police. When i get my iphone, i will be sure to get this.

  • Yeah, I guess so! Thanks for your help :)

  • if only i had an iphone.. :'(

  • I know how you feel, really want one now!

  • Im getting an iphone in 2.5weeks and this will be the first app I will ever download.

  • Sounds good :)

  • This is a great idea!

But only in USA ? or also in Switzerland ?

  • I'm not sure do you have an iPhone to try and download the app?

  • I don't... :(

  • Animals need us and we do not like them

  • Incorrect... Animals need us to have never existed, and I'm fairly sure most people like animals.

  • This is really awesome. I can't believe they have an app. out for this. I definitely will DL this app. once I get my iPhone pretty soon. I hope very many people get into this sort of thing. Life is a beautiful thing, and these cats are a product of it, so let's keep it beautiful. :)

  • Very good that there are still people that actually give about animals. Worst crime there is is people that abuse animals. I really hate it when i see the commercials on tv where Bears look more dead then alive, being held in an cage where they dont fit in. As usual with things i appreciate on youtube, you got my subscription. Homo Sapiens (The wise man) usetheir mind. People who abuse it against other lesser intelligent animals are in my eyes better off dead then alive.

    Greetings from holland

  • Thanks for your support all the way over in Holland! :)

  • I don't have an iPhone. But I DO have 3 cats. How's that for helping?

lol sorry totally random...and I mean 3 house cats.

  • Glad they're house cats, they are the best kind to have in your home:)

  • This is great!!! Even a bigger reason why i'm saving up for an iphone

  • AWSOME!!!

    :D

  • Nice... but if i live in Mexico? here`re a lot of "circuses" that have this kind of animals .

    At 1:06 it´s a toy, isn`t it? xD.

  • Yep, it's a toy. Is it legal to privately own tigers/lions etc.. in mexico?

  • It was my second post on the same subject, but the first post was too large so i could fit the last parts in.

and I'm form Iceland, but judging by your replies to other people I'm guessing your not going that far for big cats.

  • Yeah, there's really no need to spend a lot of money to travel to rescue big cats when there are so many in the United States and that money we save can be used to fund more rescues over here. :)

  • Excellent idea, I hope all those animal abusers get caught, be it big cats or other animals. Who knows, it might also help all SPCAs and rescues get to all illegal stuff too.

Great idea and carry on with your great job to help all those suffering animals !!!

  • Pretty cool, I hope all those people who hurt animals be it big cats or other animals, will get caught.

Excellent idea and great job !!!

  • GREAT thing you're doing!!!

Bless you for all you DO for

    these beautiful creatures!

    Peace~ Lexie

  • what are you going to do AFTER we send the photographs and information? just wondering

  • It makes us aware of the present condition of animals at places we may already know about but more likely informs us about places/people we don't know about, which we can then investigate and see if they are legal etc... Also if we are sent info about somewhere locally using tiger cubs as photo props for example we can go film and hand out leaflets about BCR and inform people of the truth.

  • I have a question. Are circuses okay if they take good care of them?

  • That depends, everybody as a personal opinion... And each circus is different etc... They way I look at it is "are these animals meant to be performing tricks in front of a large noisy audience" Then it's about how they are housed when not performing and how long they spend on the road each year, not a good life if you ask me, what do you think?

  • Well, I used to really like the circus. It's just one of those classic American things you do with your kids. But lately I've been thinking about the animals and feeling very sorry for them. So I guess it's a bad thing for them. But what are animal protection agencies like SPCA doing about it and where d they draw the line over what's acceptable and what's inhumane? Maybe you should do a video with more info about this matter.

  • this is a great idea!

  • can ibe for other animals?

  • How about for those of us that don't have iPhones?

I wish to see the day where all animals like this are free and NOT IN CAGES!

  • Hi, it will be available on the Blackberry and a desktop widget is coming soon! We hope to see that day also :)

  • Yay, thank you!

  • very good, i just wish i had an iphone lol

  • Great idea!! hopefully you guys can make the app for different phones too, although iphone is probably the most common

  • good think to help animal

  • as in, do you rescue cats outside Florida?

  • We do rescue cats from outside Florida, our last two rescues were form Louisiana and Mississippi. As for rescuing cats form another country this is highly unlikely in our case, there are so many cats that need a home in the USA and this is where we are focused in trying to get laws passed and more strongly enforced.

  • great

  • i hope to see more

  • What about if we live in absurd places like for example: Iceland. Even though there are probably no big cats here and we had evidence of an abuse, would you try and rescue them? (the animals)

  • Where do you live?

  • great and cool

  • Is that tiger at 1:07 a stuffed toy?

  • well they werent going to force their tigers

  • Yep :)

  • Excellent method, very good initiative, keep it up!!!

  • Fantastique

  • Great idea ! Unfortunately I''ve no iPhone...

  • Great thing you're doing here guys, wish I had an iPhone to download the app.

  • WOW, this is an amazing tool!

  • I really wish this was out a month ago. In Indiana, we drove past an area that was something about "Big Cat" basically a Big Cat, tiger im guessing on display. The area didn't look professional at all. Had this been out sooner, I may have spent whatever ridiculous price to see it and know if it was in good conditions.

  • That's too bad, it's a huge shame that things like you described are such a common occurrence in the USA. Was this in a parking lot or just at the side of the road somewhere?

  • We were on a long road, and the place had a driveway that connected the road to the "building" about 100 yards in.

  • I hope there wasn't many people there funding these "backyard breeders"

  • I don't have an iphone but this sounds very important and amazing.

  • That's really cool, now people from all over the globe can help to stop animal abuse just by the touch of an i-phone button! :3

  • Great App.

Hopefully many animals will be saved by this.

Bless you guys for all of the good you are doing in the world.

  • Great video!
