At 07:25 you said "skewering" the queen to the king. That is actually called pinning. Skewering is the opposite where the more valuable piece is in the front being attacked.
Question, I used to play alot of chess when I was younger but never attended any tournaments myself. My uncle was an old tournament player and a friend of mine attended a chess club aswell, I was usually able to best them in games at home as I played alot with them.
I sort of miss playing it and was wondering if there are any good chess clients for online and single player play.

if you watch your breath the "you" that you thought you were dissappears as the concentration upon breath deepens, that could be on pretty much anything though, if your concentration was one-pointed enough. then the "I" that we so often hear in the head, starts to dissapear as it is not given chance to speak, or think...this leads further to intuitive epxeriences in which truth is allowed to emerge. peace
salamfarzin, it is white's turn to play after black Bishop d3 and black bishop can be taken either by white queen or rook. so black queen check on c4 is not possible.
And kingscrusher missed some information too. he says exchanging Knight would have been a better move(at 6:54), but what if white queen and not white rook takes black knight, it would not be easy to mate white king then.
if you think otherwise, kingscrusher could you pls explain why exchange of knights is still a better option
Yeah but taking the black bishop on d3 with the white queen results in a mate too - check with black rook g2 and try the combinations for the white king thereafter
Interesting game! Very well played by Anand, unlucky for Kramnik, thought he could win when he was 2 pawns up. Thanks a lot for these videos kingscrusher.
This championship is really hotting up. Im really enjoying it. Thanks for posting these Kingcrusher, i'm really looking forward to the next game. Anands novelty was brilliant in the opening. Strange really that it wasnt used before, being quite a logical move.
What if Kramnik played 18Nd2 instead of 18Bg4 which is what he played. With this night move he could have aimed for 19Nc4 followed by Be3 and pressure on the D file? Ash
If white had played 18.Nd2 instead of Bf4 then apparently Ke7! is strong. After 19.Qxg4 Qxb5, white looks very weak on the light squares. However, after 19.Bxd7 Rag8, I'm not clever enough to fully understand how black has enough compensation for the piece there.

I believe the best chess advice is this.
Never make a weakness that can be exploited.
Progress your pieces & control the centre.

wallspace.... for me breathing happens naturally and i do not have to remember to breath.. maybe u do that...
remember Chess is a wonderful game and passion for many. may be it isn't for u..
it is very important to educate someone and be educated about things that are unknown.

Annad is a great player and tactically superior to Kramnik. I believe Anand will win the match
I thought this game was great, and im looking forward to the rest of the games.

Anand has to be happy with that win

I would almost prefer not showing the score at the beginning for these games, unless its a boring draw

i'm a big vishy fan and i was hoping you
would post this soon.
if he manages to beat kramnik he will
finally have to be treated as the best
player in the world and the undisputed
world champ. he's been living kasparov
and kramnik's shadows his entire chess
career, and it's about time the "lightning
kid" takes his place with the likes of the
chess legends of the past.

It should be noted that after 33...Bxd3 34. Qxd3, White is forced to give up his Queen for Black's Rook after 34...Rg2+, threatening Qxb2.
