It is most odd that the SAME NARRATOR narrated this identical footage at another time obviously, and correctly stated that the Kraffts and 41 others were killed by this exact pyroclastic flow. They chose to disregard the warnings and the evacuation zone and traveled to within two miles of the summit the day before, demonstrating in a very tragic way that it isn't how much you know about a particular subject (and the Kraffts knew more than most), but it is how you utilize that knowledge.

Whats interesting is that its the same guy on all the Videos doing the voice over. One one film he says they live, on the nest 41 die. I wonder what the narator was thinking when he was sat in the recording room knowing he had said exactly the opposite previously?

i disagree with "no lives were lost". volcanologists katia and maurice kraft were caught in that cloud. they were found very much dead.

No. This pyroclastic flow didn't hit the 2 volcanologist and the 39 japanese journalists. They died two days later on june the 3rd when they tried to reach the Mount Unzen summit. Another huge pyroclastic flow, that haven't been filmed, got them...

wrong, this is the june 3rd flow, which was the first major flow of the unzen 91-95 eruptive face. This flow killed the krafft's, Harry glicken, and 40 journalists
