So I'm missing the scenes before this & when/why he decided to leave. I mean I know he left the show but how did the writers have him say why he was leaving his house? I think in later eps Laura blames herself for his death b/c he wasn't getting along at her house & so he felt he needed to move out on his own. Stefan said he was a young man who needed his independence...Are there other conversations Lucky had w/Laura before this?

@kattrin33 - he left home because he found out that Luke raped Laura. This was around April 1998, a year or so before this clip. He lived with Bobbie for a short while, then he hid out in Liz's room until Audrey found out, then he was living in a boxcar, then finally he got his apartment. If you look up "Luke/Lucky Rape Confrontation", "Liz Offers Lucky a Place to Stay", "Lucky confronts Laura about the Rape", and "Lucky and Laura Reach an Understanding" you'll get the main picture.

So was this truly his last scene on GH until he just recently came back? I'm trying to catch up on all of this. It would seem the actors were saying goodbye to ea. other as much for themselves as they were for the characters of the show...How touching & wonderful mother/son bond on screen.

@kattrin33 - It wasn't exactly his last scene, but it was one of the very last, and his very last with Laura. I also had to catch up in honor of JJ's return. If you check out my Liz and Lucky playlist I've assembled as many Liz and Lucky scenes as I could find from 1997-1999 and put them in chronological order, and I think I've got close to everything.

Ten years later since he left, I still really wish we could see Jonathan Jackson return to the show one last time!

The chemistry he shared with Tony & Genie (Luke and Laura) was incredible and the original romance he had Elizabeth was so beautiful and memorable to this day.

i think i am gonna cry the first time i see him on my screen as lucky... i remember crying when he left... liz & lucky were second only to luke & laura... they were all amazing together... lucky is the only son luke needed the whole ethan sl is bogus... jake should be lucky's son that's a bogus sl too...now that JJ's back the writers have to regret those bad sl.... luke son should have a child instead sonny has too many.... jason left the show he could have been written to have a kid then

However, I have no idea how their relationship is going to play out after sooooooo much BS has ruined their relationship during the 10 year absence.

But when he returns to the screen again, that's going to be that emotional moment we've all been waiting for for 10 years now!

Yeah, Lucky/Emily have a scene together a few weeks before the fire, when she tells him that any boy she ever dates will have to live up to him--and so she is mad at him cuz he set the bar so high. and they reminisce about grape snow cones and when she stole a vase for him--and when they ran away. its a great scene, in lucky's apartment.

Lucky/Nikolas--I don't think they have a real "goodbye" scene. There is the final 4 Muskateers dinner, though.

This imo is actually GF saying goodbye to JJ in these scenes as well as Laura/Lucky. The emotion felt between these two actors, you cannot buy nor recreate. They are just that good and so very real in nature. I miss the relationship between JJ/GF/TG. They MADE me believe that the Spencers were a family IRL. I miss them together terribly and yes, JJ is the true Lucky.. GV is decent, but JJ had LnL's soul..

As great as Anthony Geary is as an actor. The best in my opinion. He has always done his best work sharing scenes with JJ and Genie. I miss them together, and I always hoped to have more scenes with the three of them. Oh well.

Boo Hoo, I miss my Genie, and JJ was the best Lucky. Hardly any Spencers to cleave to. At least luke is still around.
