@pitbullpower90 tony's dead. Face it. I'm sad too that ill never see another new sopranos episode, but there's no way David Chase will ever make a sopranos movie (unless of course, the events take place before tony's shooting somehow)
@RockySeven7 there is nothing that pionts that he will be shot the last scene was when the sopranos family is eating at a restaurant and it goes black, according to Tony Sirico the guy who plays paulie walnuts he said in an interview that they not only will do one movie but two
@pitbullpower90 nothing? watch the sixth season again. google up some arguments, you will find that they are very convincing. Tony's death get built up troughout the season. I didn't buy it either at first, i talked to some ppl, read some articles (even a paper) about and i had to change my opinion. If Tony Sirico says it.... well, he's just plain wrong.
@RockySeven7 i have watched all the episodes!! and i have look argument in google and there is no single conclusion in this matter, I rather believe Tony Sirico who was i the casting crew, but what is there to be done if they make one movie i'll be glad
@RockySeven7 The whole point of the ending was to be ambiguous, to leave it up to the viewer to decide whether Tony's dead or not. You can believe he's dead, that's fine (I believe that scenario too). However, to flat out say he's dead shows you don't quite understand the whole point of it.
@Insanitrix with all due respect. There can only be one correct interpretation in this case. Just look at all the hints David Chase gives throughout the sixth season. Tony getting killed is the only logical conclusion of the sixth season.
Its quite the opposite, to say that the ending is ambiguous is showing you don't understand. e. just google 'sopranos definitive explanation of the end'. The arguments are quite powerfull and I had to change my mind too, its just the way it is.
me too.... seen this episode before, remember kinda liking the song last time and listened closer this time. I knew the voice sounded familiar but couldn't place it had to look it up... lol Sopranos and the Stones 2 of the best!!
Funny thing about this song and the sopranos is that I've watched that episode about 20 times and never really liked this song. But for some reason the 21st time I had to just listen to the whole thing. Love the part at 2:15. Ok so it isn't funny but you get the point.
@vickicowie It doesnt matter how people came here vicki, it doesnt matter whether these folk appreciate music as much as you do, what does matter is that Sopranos was a well crafted piece of work that introduced new listeners to good music ( bit like guitar hero does to kids). When folk are drawn away from the bland pop / dance crap and listen to real musical talent, it must be seen as success over mediocrity, how they reached the destination or what they do with it is not for us to judge :-)
I was just watching the soprano's and it was the episode with this song.......I had no idea that it was keith richards and the rolling stones.........Great song......
this was bone chilling seeing that sopranos scene... I didn't even realize this was rolling stones/richards ... and the Frankie Sinatra scene to start off season 2... damn... RIP Pus l0l0l this is by FAR the best show i've ever seen, puts other film to shame.
1st of March is Justin Bieber's birthday. This little roach has been infecting the whole world. Because of him, the world of rock is extincting.
So on his birthday, we all will go to his "Baby" official video and push the 'dislike' button so that the 'dislike' bar becomes 10 times bigger than the 'like' bar.
If you are a rock fan, join with me and thumbs up me, copy-paste this message to all rock videos. We have six months to unite and fight against this little fag
This song really caps the episode "Funhouse" of the Sopranos well...where at the party for Meadow's graduation, all the friends and family are shown and then cut to parts of the business and other aspects of Tony's life. Just a well chosen song for this episode. Oh, and BTW, it's a damn good song as well...by an all-time band.
@boboving23 add me to the list. I didn't get into the sopranos the first go-round but I've been watching about a season per week - insomnia will allow for that. Great show with well selected music that's not always an obvious top ten hit.
@boboving23 , LOL, I am watching Sopranos, the episode where they kill Big Pussy and heard this song and I thought that was Keith Richards but had to search to be sure. I guess like minds, i.e. great think the same.
Thank you for this Emma ! I have been searching for it, had no idea it was Keith Richards: remember it from'the Sopranos' of course. Such yearning, almost
