i don't see it as a cheap shot. he kept his arm tight to his body and took the person on. Simmonds cut low and behind him. malkin didn't adjust to hit, just kept his place. if you watch Simmonds reaches in with his stick bending over. of course the hits going to be to the head when your bent over like that.

it was almost a cheapshot but simmonds kinda ducked down. malkin is 6'3" as well.
malkin didn't really look like he was trying to go for the headshot either. if simmonds
had his body rotated differently malkin would just have been sheilding the puck. It looks like he let go of the puck but it was poke checked. as i said its almost a cheapshot but he kept his arm tucked and treid to sheild the puck

there was nothing dirty about that hit at all. people do that in every single game. my greatest feeling being that im a small guy thats all about speed and skill is when i can line up a guy with their head down. i have it done to me all the time almost lost a tooth because of it but wow cmon he didnt do anything
