You know, I don't get this hang-up on class. You Brits are ridiculous with this shit.
From what I've seen, Albarn never pretended to be anything but a classically trained, 'middle class' pop musician. His talent isn't a 'pose'. The man's written a Chinese opera for fuck sakes. Regardless of its worth as a pure opera, it's something Noel Gallagher could NEVER pull off.

you're wrong. gallagher doesn't really embrace any type of music apart from his own and maybe he happens to get on well with paul weller too. damon spans all the genres and does justice to all. as q mag says, everything he touches turns to gold.
