you can tell Humbug is a lot darker and aggressive from the usual upbeat monkeys and this is shortly after Alex worked with Miles in the Last Shadow Puppets.

I'm not saying the arctic monkeys ripped off the the rascals but its just a great thing when two musical geniuses come together.

why does everyone compare them to arctic monkeys lol, there are plenty of bands out their that they are more like other than the arctic monkeys, monkeys new b sides have gone into a similar styles but thats like 4 songs, the rascals sparked off newish style because they was amazing at what they did, the coral - i remember when - glastonbury 2002, if you want a song thatw ill blow your mind... had to add it lol

Umm @ tronic5454 the arctic monkeys do have more agression especailly in their earlier days the rescals are more Classy though but some how more abrassive too it's almost as if all the indie and alternative abrassiveness was fused with the elagance of the byrds and 60 pop acts.

@456japan well, Miles just quit the band, Greg and Joe are still part of The Rascals. Don't know about them but Miles' solo album is coming in Feb. He already has a new song on youtube called 'Inhaler' . It's actually an amazing song. Looking forward to his album.

I'm pissed that they split because there's never going to be another band like them lol. People compare them to the Arctic Monkeys but they don't have as much aggression as the Rascals, at least in my opinion.

From all of what I've heard, The Rascals not ONCE had a dull, acoustic track and I'm sure that if they were still together, they wouldn't do that any time soon. The closest thing might be either Rascalize or I'd Be Lying To You but those two weren't that great to me anyway. Don't get me wrong, I love Arctic Monkeys but the Rascals get my head banging and my body doing corny swinging 60's dances at the same time lol.

Agreed, Oasis has made so much material that they've made quite a few gems. For instance, I didn't like SOTSG at all, but the b-side "Let's All Make Believe" was quite good. Dig Out Your Soul was pretty good, but I doubt they'll never touch What's the Story.
