@DeathBloodGore Yes it can, could be a sign of it dying. Rather off getting a new one it's almost dead and when the price drops to like 50$ I'm getting 2 90000 and keeping them for like 40 years then sell them. I mean seriously. Rather off just getting a new one.

I just just use free mc boot and psxloader.elf to play everything and I used a a few drops of glue on my two buttons censors two hold them down and removed the dvd stop on the top of the stock case it was a free mod with no money invested other then a case of blank dvd and a case of cd and a used $3.00 ps2 game 007 agent under fire to install free mc boot and I just got a free ps1 game from a friend so I could use the loader.elf exploit .....but the blue case looks nice

I just want to know cause he didnt need a flip cover wit this, he just left it open near the end and the swap magic cd worked an he just closed it and that was that. Can i just use the Swap magic cd and open too and close it after i put my game in? or do i need this? Cause they dont have the Flip top covers for this silver slim ps2. PLEASE RESPOND.

Ok, after doing a bunch of research (including watching other YouTube videos), I bought a fliptop lid for my PS2 (same model as in the video). It DOES block the sensor above the Power Button, but apparently it won't block the sensor near the drive assembly, so you have to block it yourself while you have your PS2 open. Just thought I'd post the heads up for those still wanting a fliptop lid for their newer Slim PS2s (I dunno if the absolute newest ones have that other internal sensor or not).

Does the import games have to be in a NTSC format to work in US or it can be PAL as well?

@nepalrock your originals will still work, as will PAL games. PAL games, however, will need to be reformatted to fit on your screen. There are various programs that allow you to do this. Backups will work as well.

yeah the screw on the fat PS2 are long on some short on others. Did this with my black 7 model. would have mod chipped but I still need some better soldier tools and skill.

You can rub a magnet on a screwdriver to make into a magnetic screwdriver.
