I remember finding this video on that LAN file searching program when I was in Totem about 7 years ago. Jesus, that was 7 years ago already? And I'm still in school.
i go to memorial university in newfoundland, it sits on rocky boreal sub tundra and is always windy and cloudy. the buildings are almost all 60 years old and look like shit.
Right now I got admitted at both UBC and UofT and I'm so hesitant abt which uni I shud go to. I mean, I know UBC is awesome in terms of weather, campus, scenery, and research. But I heard Toronto is more "city life" style and I also love that. However, I don't like the cold weather @ UofT. Plus, I don't know which grads are better off in their career. And finally, if I choose to go to UBC, will I miss tremendous opportunities @ Toronto? arghh! this makes me crazy.. some1 help please!!
Both UBC and UT are world class universities but I would choose to go to UBC, it's a really nice place and if you're longing for city life you could go to Vancouver which is just a few bus stops away. But it really depends on which subjects you're choosing, the commerce, science, medicine and forestry at UBC is top while UT has better engineering program.
Your kidding me? Why didn't they film the breathtaking scenery of Howe Sound by the Anth building and Greene College. That's the prettiest part of campus.
UBC campus = filled with natural scenery. But its also a terribly inconvenient campus to get around in. Someone should post up a video of UBC when its raining. Flooded pavement and swamps for grass, anyone?
It's not so much inconvenient to get around in as it is HUGE, and prone to moderate flooding. Tip: never try to run across the grass when it has just rained = generous application of mud to backside.
The biochemistry program at UBC, as far as I can tell, is quite good. It's a university that is heavily slanted towards science and research, so it's great if you're seriously looking into getting into biochemistry as a serious career. Tough program, though. UBC is not a great teaching university, so don't expect good teachers. Excellent research work, though.
UBC is awesome, beautiful campus, but the hordes of pigeons are king of annoying, especially when they follow you lol. Can't wait till I start living on campus next year :)
I feel soooooooo good after watching this video! I often play it to start my day. I love the music, film composition, those beautiful young faces and oh I miss autumn leaves here in Tucson! Thank you Jorgen.
Is that a Mike Oldfield song? And what are you shooting your slow mo on? Regular DV slowed down in FCP or are you using the new Panasonic HVX varicam?

Yeah I know, but I'm up for it. Got a 95 average in math, and a 97 average in science, and I've got good hands, so I'm betting I'll make it.

for someone with a 93 in math to get an 85 in a related subject... crazy.. must be really hard, although 85 is still an A.

The fisheye looks so cool. What'd you use to shoot this? A Nikon D90?
AllergicToPink 3 years ago
Couldn't have been, the d90 just came out a few months ago, this vid was tagged in 2006. Also the d90 isn't the best thing for video.
