After the baby boomer generation the following generations were smaller. The reason the population is still growing is because people are living longer. If we limit the birth rate to 1 child per family, then whose going to pay for all the health care and social security and take care of the baby boomers when they retire?

Education is also a one of the things that decreases the population...in countries where women can be educated and finish high school and go on to college, the age of marriage and child-bearing is pushed back from teen years to 20's and 30's. In third world countries where women do not become educated or finish school, the age of marriage and child-bearing is much younger, and so people have more children.

I've met alot of people that could have accomplished more in their fields, but were unwilling to do certain things it took. He lost because he was no longer the majority stock holder as a consequence of the merger between Turner Broadcasting System and Time Warner. A merger which made him silly rich. b) That all participants have complete medical records (for the sake of seeing if individuals qualify).

The news is suppose to be objective...news agencies are suppose to report what happens, not spin it in the direction of what they wish had happened. CNN, as a global news agency, should be loyal to what is true, not the sentiments of the American people or anyone else. BBC doesn't display the Union Jack. It isn't about whose patriotic or not, its about what is truth. How can a news agency be objective when they clearly display favoritism?

He is so silly. It's not a high birth rate that is causing the population to increase. Many countries (including the U.S.) have a birthrate that is below replacement level. After the baby boomer generation the following generations were smaller. The reason the population is still growing is because people are living longer. If we limit the birth rate to 1 child per family, then whose going to pay for all the health care and social security and take care of the baby boomers when they retire?

Actually, industrialization is the biggest check on human population growth that there is (look at birthrates in industrial vs third world countries, if you don't believe me). One that does not harm anyone in the process. So paradoxically, industrialization of the entire world will ultimately reduce environmental impact by humans.

I've met alot of people that could have accomplished more in their fields, but were unwilling to do certain things it took. Such as bribes, threats, making deals with criminals, etc. I never thought less of them because they didn't accomplish more. And I'm not saying that Turner did any of those things. Ted Turner, the founder of C.N.N., was in fact fired by C.N.N. He had lost control of the network and was simply an employee at the time. He has lost control of most, if not all, of his companies. Mostly because he won't listen to advisers.

It's true that he's was fired from the board of of directors of Time Warner. It's not true that he lost control because he didn't listen to his advisors. He lost because he was no longer the majority stock holder as a consequence of the merger between Turner Broadcasting System and Time Warner. A merger which made him silly rich. I don't think Ted Turner has reason to regret that particular chain of events.

America's radical infatuation with their flag is sometimes scary and sometimes amusing.
It appears that if someone presents an idea while waving the flag then to go against this idea would be some sort of treason. That's scary.
You can be fined or jailed for selling an American flag that isn't made in America. Now that's funny!
(I thought the flag represented freedom?)
