Lucas already told us that Episode III ended the series. So the fact that he released this years after and is still trying to make money off of it is kind of an insult to the fans. Besides I'm kind of getting sick of story archs revolving around the Clone Wars. They've stretched the story out so much that it doesnt even make sense anymore. Anakin didnt have an apprentice in the earlier Clone Wars stories, so why does he have one now? Think Lucas!

This movie is a lot better than what I expected, saw it when it came out in the big screen in Nebraska, would see it again if it was back in the big screen.
I must admit the first time i watched the film i didnt like it at all. The series is far better and its actually made me enjoy the film a lot more. Yeah theres some terrible bits in it but the kids seem to love it so its great a new 'generation' are out there. I like seeing the imagery/ new planets / /new characters in the film, the jokes about the young Hutt are awful but overall its not too bad. The series is great though
i remember when i saw it in theatres that the only disapointment was no Grevious but im over that, also i was naruto about ahsoka and almost liked her (then i well. was saying i haterd her since my sister whined tabout her though never saw the film xD) now ahsoka has grown on me, and she's awesome. also love the battels and lightsaber fights, and ratta is cute as well as rex being awesome

horrible show, horrible movie, no more clones wars, how bout galactic civil war, jedi civil war, mandalorian wars, great galactic war, the new sith wars, or even yuhong vong war, there are so many points they can make shows or movies on but they have to go to already greatly explored territory, with this deplorible tv series and movie, the old one is so much better.
ok, this movie disrespected the entire storyline first off, lucas already made a clone wars series when episode II came out, second, why would they have anakin/vader have 2 apprentices, asoka and then again in THE FORCE UNLEASHED, thirdly, the novels never mentioned jabba having a son nor in the movies, and lastly, if anakin did had an apprentice, he would have been promoted to jedi master which he never did as mentioned in episode III, so how does all of this fit in between episodes II and III?
-This series ties in with the 2D animated Clone Wars series like the comics and so on.
-Well Anakin isn't a sith yet. There is a vast difference in settings in the clone wars and by the time he is Vader. Sidious also planned to take advantage of Starkiller.
-Alright the novels nor the movie never mentioned Jabba having a son. So?
-Isn't Anakin a Jedi Knight at this point? Can't Knight's also have Padawan but yeah, the times Anakin is referred to as "master" is off but nothing to dwell on.
One, this isn't written by Lucas, in actuality, the majority of it is written by other authors with Lucas's permission. Two, Galen, Vader's apprentice, has his story in The Force Unleashed, which is between episodes 3 and 4, if you didn't notice the whole, didn't have a survival suit. Three, Jedi do not need to be Jedi Masters to have an apprentice, they just can't be apprentices themselves. Obi-Wan was granted the rank of Jedi Knight and took Anakin as his apprentice at the exact same time.
@KingOfBlades1000 Well 1, the micro series was the first view weeks after II and the first view before III and at the begining of season 3 of the micrioseries, te jump for short after II to short before III left a gap, in which this series takes place. Anakin probably loses Ashoka and as Sith wants a Sith aprentice. 3. well some caraacters just are somewhere else or not important, 4. only if he succrsfully traines heer which reains to be seen.
even though i love the film, i wish it was dark like the trailer as well as a stronger plott, but the action and final lightsaber fight was awesome, also it needed a normal opening.

if we have to make the plot up ourselves then this is a poorly written show. we may as well write our own work then, this problem is also in the prequels: Lucas leaves so much for us to just asume. thats bad writing.

the problem is really with Lucas and his prequels, Lucas even admited that he wrote them on the fly, and that shows. even in the original trilogy we can kinda tell Lucas didnt really think about what he was creating. and its a wonder that turned out so well (really when you know the history behind how he did it)

If this movie had been a direct-to-DVD release or at least just a TV premier, I'd be a lot more nicer on it. But seeing as how Star Wars: The Clone Wars needed to live up to the quality of other movies that were being shown in the movie theater at the time, this so-called "movie" failed horribly.
Incredibly bad animation, stiff dialogue, frantic pacing, uninteresting story, and a complete lack of any sort of tension. I'm not sure why Star Wars fans would actually like this.
this movie is so gay and a waist of money, the action scenes have almost nothing to do with the storyline and they use it all in the trailors to intrest you, plus they steal music from other episodes,and darth maul looked good having a duel saber but that ventress or wutever, its just gay to see thing 2 times in one series
why did they have to make that one wierd thing skywalker calls snips? you know that once the little kids find out anakin is darth vader and snips dies they are going to cry, oh the inhumanity. :'(

horrible show, horrible movie, no more clones wars, how bout galactic civil war, jedi civil war, mandalorian wars, great galactic war, the new sith wars, or even yuhong vong war, there are so many points they can make shows or movies on but they have to go to already greatly explored territory, with this deplorible tv series and movie, the old one is so much better.

ok, this movie disrespected the entire storyline first off, lucas already made a clone wars series when episode II came out, second, why would they have anakin/vader have 2 apprentices, asoka and then again in THE FORCE UNLEASHED, thirdly, the novels never mentioned jabba having a son nor in the movies, and lastly, if anakin did had an apprentice, he would have been promoted to jedi master which he never did as mentioned in episode III, so how does all of this fit in between episodes II and III?

-This series ties in with the 2D animated Clone Wars series like the comics and so on.
-Well Anakin isn't a sith yet. There is a vast difference in settings in the clone wars and by the time he is Vader. Sidious also planned to take advantage of Starkiller.
-Alright the novels nor the movie never mentioned Jabba having a son. So?
-Isn't Anakin a Jedi Knight at this point? Can't Knight's also have Padawan but yeah, the times Anakin is referred to as "master" is off but nothing to dwell on.

Not really, its Padawan and Master. The whole terminology is there, whether the teacher is of the rank of Jedi Master or not.

One, this isn't written by Lucas, in actuality, the majority of it is written by other authors with Lucas's permission. Two, Galen, Vader's apprentice, has his story in The Force Unleashed, which is between episodes 3 and 4, if you didn't notice the whole, didn't have a survival suit. Three, Jedi do not need to be Jedi Masters to have an apprentice, they just can't be apprentices themselves. Obi-Wan was granted the rank of Jedi Knight and took Anakin as his apprentice at the exact same time.

@KingOfBlades1000 Well 1, the micro series was the first view weeks after II and the first view before III and at the begining of season 3 of the micrioseries, te jump for short after II to short before III left a gap, in which this series takes place. Anakin probably loses Ashoka and as Sith wants a Sith aprentice. 3. well some caraacters just are somewhere else or not important, 4. only if he succrsfully traines heer which reains to be seen.

even though i love the film, i wish it was dark like the trailer as well as a stronger plott, but the action and final lightsaber fight was awesome, also it needed a normal opening.

The series it self gets very dark several times but I agree with you on terms of the opening.
The opening does make more sense for the TV series but given the first episode was in movie form it should of had the traditional opening.

This was actually a pretty good movie, I love the animation, and the storyline was somewhat good except for a few things: such as Jabba the Hut having a son...he NEVER had a son....wtf?

@TransformersLuvr21 - actually he had quite a large family, one of his kids rebelled against him and Jabba tricked the Republic into taking care of the brat for him
That said, Huttlets are not normally born the way they were in this movie and they certainly aren't 'cute' ... and painting Jabba in a brighter light was doomed from the start :P

@TransformersLuvr21 Well yeah....but Jabba's a crime lord, and his son maybe didn't want to be one...and maybe he left the family business and Jabba disowned him? I don't know, you just have to make up the plot sometimes in your own head when they leave shit out. :)

if we have to make the plot up ourselves then this is a poorly written show. we may as well write our own work then, this problem is also in the prequels: Lucas leaves so much for us to just asume. thats bad writing.
i may try this show, it may not be canon or necessary but it could be fun.

@henkman00 No one is denying that. However I disagree that you say the show is poorly written. Yes it has had its fair share of shit episodes, but some of them are really good.
Also, maybe Jabbas son died sometime during the clone wars? And maybe later in the series they'll get to that? Aw fuck it, ever mind.

the problem is really with Lucas and his prequels, Lucas even admited that he wrote them on the fly, and that shows. even in the original trilogy we can kinda tell Lucas didnt really think about what he was creating. and its a wonder that turned out so well (really when you know the history behind how he did it)
as for this show. i was talking 'if'
but i have seen a few eps and liked what i was seeing.
but your last line really shows what is wrong about star wars.

The only thing Lucas had to do with this movie was creating the universe and being the producer of the movie. That's it.
He didn't write it. Also there have been several works expanding the Star Wars Universe in terms of comics, novels, and of course video games.

If this movie had been a direct-to-DVD release or at least just a TV premier, I'd be a lot more nicer on it. But seeing as how Star Wars: The Clone Wars needed to live up to the quality of other movies that were being shown in the movie theater at the time, this so-called "movie" failed horribly.
Incredibly bad animation, stiff dialogue, frantic pacing, uninteresting story, and a complete lack of any sort of tension. I'm not sure why Star Wars fans would actually like this.

this movie is so gay and a waist of money, the action scenes have almost nothing to do with the storyline and they use it all in the trailors to intrest you, plus they steal music from other episodes,and darth maul looked good having a duel saber but that ventress or wutever, its just gay to see thing 2 times in one series

I know what happened with Asoka:
She survived Order 66 because Rex couldn't bring himself to kill her at the Jedi Temple and escapes. Then she is hunted down years later by Darth Vader. She confronts him and learns that he is Anakin Skywalker.
Asoka cried out "Master Skyguy, how could you do it?! They were younglings like I was when you meet me! WHY?!" Tears in her eyes.
Darth Vader says "If only you knew the power of the Dark Side Snips"
They have a duel and he kills her cleanly. The End.
