Oh the Mighty Biggus Dickus lives in the books of Pliny the Middling and serially unreliable Greco-Roman historian - and part time wrestler 'Agrippa the Grappler' lol
Lol apparently the extra soldiers weren't told what Palin was going to do so they were told to just stand there and not laugh, so that is real laughter!! xD
@WilhelminaGrady13 Palin intentionally made the guards corpse. They were told it was a serious scene and not to laugh or they'd be fired. So naturally that was a bald face lie and the above is what we get.
Just some back story for anyone interested: All of the extras where asked by the directors (and members of Monty Python) to not laugh during the scene, and the scene went exactly to plan.
@SFXAlien924 ltell you what was hard, watching the film been giving the script and seening your name next to "pilate" then trying to do this whole scene while not laughing xD
@SFXAlien924 you can see michael palin laughing alittle bit when hes in the guards face...but yeah i actually acted this out for a play at school, was hilliarious.we watched the film and then our teacher decided to make us do a play of it,and he just ended up giving me so many parts, during life of brian i had to play,Pilate which was funy cause i got to slap my mates face without getting into shit xP and i also had to play mr cheeky and the guy in the prision as well, but this scene was best :P
@SFXAlien924 pause it at 3:19 and you can see mike smerking,i have to sayit was very difficult for me to do it,squaring into my mates face saying biggus dickus,we had to redo this one scene about 3 or 4times cause of me xD
@SFXAlien924 nah not a actor,it was just a fun thing at school, but it was put on for about 3,4 days at our local theater because our teachers were impressed and paid out thousands of pounds as a end of school gift, cause i was chosen for Pilate,Mr cheeky and Singing `always look on the bright side` i had to watch this scene a couple of times at home to get it right and spotted Palin laughing-shame i anit a actor tho i`d love to do this scene..was a good laugh :P

Incontinentia translates into Latin literally as "an inability of containing or retaining". Combine that with the word "buttocks" in context to the husband's name of Biggus Dickus, then that can mean that his wife gives it up to every Thomus, Dickus, and Harrius in Rome. In layman's terms: That bitch is a ho.
@JellybeanDrifter Technically it would be 124 monkeys because if they click at random between the 2 thumbs buttons they would have a 50/50 chance of liking or disliking meaning that half of the 124 monkeys would have clicked dislike. Then again the like button is twice as the dislike button so that they would be 33% more likely to click it in which case you would have 186 monkeys. Just fyi
This film takes me back to my own school days.I'm sure many folks can relate to the helpless feeling of trying with all your might to suppress a laugh with an authoritarian teacher standing nearby. I can also recall tormenting a friend by making funny faces while he was being reprimanded by the Principal.God we were bad. LOL!
@kitkatcutie520 I really have no idea. He had a reputation for being the Python most likely to laugh in a scene, as well. There are so many clips of Flying Circus where he turns his back to the camera because he's laughing and they kept the take cause they couldn't afford to reshoot it. xD
I first watched this while in a library, so you can imagine how painful it was when I was trying not to laugh out loud the whole time. Best way to watch this clip IMO! Haha
