@HariaysBay a labret actually goes through the skin juuuust below your lip. a vertical labret is what she got, which starts at the skin right below your lip just like a normal labret, but instead of going straight through, it goes up and through your actual lip. :P

@joansy1995 pretty much just use mouth wash for the insides and use a warm salt and watter for the out side. clean 2-3 times a day max or the salt will dry out the skin :)

@catwalksymphony when i got mine pierced it healed within 2 weeks. when i got it pierced it swelled a little but it never got sore, never bled or scabbed and i changed my jewlery within 3 days to a smaller size that i still have in now and its been a long time since ive gotten this pierced. i was shocked at how well this piercing did, all my other piercings take forever to heal and were very hard to take care of. i guess i got VERY lucky with this!

Can anyone explain to me why this idiot just lets the needle drop into her lap during the transfer instead of removing the clamp and using both hands? Major risk of losing the piercing during transfer his way, and a great way to cross contaminate.

@XxDumbleDorexX Probably not because a normal labret piercing is a straight bar and these ones are curved. Normal labrets have only one ball and these have 2, sorta the way an eyebrow piercing is.. Kinda. Lol : )

@toniabrother the reason for the longer bar is to allow for swelling....once that goes down you can have your piercer change it for you

@fazteri63 I have a vertical labret. My piercer never mentioned "angel kiss piercing" I've never even heard of it called that o.O But it doesn't hurt, really, that much at all. It was a quick sharp pain that goes away in like 2 seconds, and it's not even that bad. The most important thing when getting a piercing is to not tense up, be nervous or constrict, because that naturally amplifies pain. They'll make you breathe in, and it'll be over before you know it.

I didn't mean to take them out permanently but I took them out for an hour and they closed up. Even after having them for 4+ months :( Anyway, I have 0 dents. I even got a vertical labret and taken that out (cause the piercer fucked up and made it crooked) still no dents!

Anyone that says a vert will heal like a normal piercing in no time is LYING. It took mine almost a FULL YEAR to heal to where it didn't scab over the top ball at night, or I could take it out for more than an hour. I do have a dent, but it's because I've had mine almost 5 years, it's been sitting there for 5 years, you know? It will go away with time though.
