???.. before u load the sample.. in the very top left corner of the slicex x theirs a arrow.... click the drop down arrow.. u a see a whole bunch a shit... go to presets... then press sustain then load ur sample from edison already choped up... then freak it up on ur midi controler.... it should do what i think ur asking...

on the slice x thiers couple of buttons right in the middle of it (the filter buttons) it has LP BP BS and HP (high pass) thats what u need to select then the x1, x2, or x3 buttons under it.. the mover the three knobs (env cut res) under that till u get what u want

depending on the frequencies of what you want verses the vocals, you might be able to eq them out or down. also not likely but if you can find the acapella version then you can invert that with the full version in audition which will eliminate the vocals. that also works to eliminate the instruments if you invert the full track with the instrumental but you wont usually be able to do that for obvious reasons

i use a midi keyboard but u should be able to use the qwerty keyboard to play samples also.. after u make ur makers in edison drag the sample to the slicex chanell it should have the same slice markers u had in edison and if u have that channel selected starting from (qwerty) u should be able to play diferent parts of the sample... also u need fl 8 to use slicex
