@wp1953 As far as I know Elvis never sang this live,not only is there not a recording of it there isn't a report of him doing so to my knowledge.

It's not on the T.T.W.I.I .album as that's a studio version,this footage is from the T.T.W.I.I. film but I've have overdubbed it.The original did have live sound but it was during this rehearsal.I do not think Elvis ever sang this live -on stage.

Ok, I'm a big admirer of Elvis music, but let's face it--he messes up the ryhthm and music of the first line of the song here, as he goes into the words "MITM." He does it differently than everyone else--it's almost as if he just didn't take the time to learn it properly. Sorry, but as much as I love EP's voice, this is my least favorite rendition of the song.

Johnny Cymbal wrote this song in the late 60's. Al Martino actually had a hit version of it prior to the time that Elvis recorded it. There is a video on You Tube of Johnny Cymbal performing the song in concert in Nashville just 4 days before his death in 1993.

I think it is a man Called Cymball. Cymball and Rashkoff made the song. Mr Cymball thanked and praised Elvis for making his song so pop and said he thinked Elvis was one of the greatest vocalists he had heard. I must agree.
