This is from the last episode of season 2. IIRC, the conductor blows up in the end.

That same episode has two of the more morbid sketches in any episode. The studio audience storms onto the set at the end of the last sketch.

It's better for comedic effect by having the conductor facing the camera, i guess it's to convey the idea that the conductor expects whats happening.

Actually, if you look carefully, most of them do move, probably by some automat device (check out their hands). This scene is amazing, one of MP's boldest when it comes to outright violence. Note how the conductor blows up the players. I'd like to see the end.

You're right. That's a bloody one...and there are many others with cut limbs etc. allthough the victims still seemed to live there. This blunt blasting away of(supposed) humans is rather violent but magnificently and funnily done with no close-ups.
