  • Doodle oodle oodle doo...

  • Rose looked so lovely back then. I feel OLD.

  • ...the glorious days

  • oink oink....

  • Merry Christmas.

  • Someone have "hypnagogue" lyrics? :(

  • LOONEY RUNES!

  • Dig Rose's Fender Coronado! I used to have one of those. Godawful guitar. Of course C93 ain't about musicianship, it's about spirit.

  • my favorite c93 song!

  • Beautiful.....;

  • Medley ? =)

  • lovely

  • Great. Rose and David, beauty on stage.

  • guess they don't play it nowadays?

  • I was on Current 93 yesterday, ok now i can die

  • Check the clip "Current 93 - Since Yesterday" on You Tube, nattated by Boyd Rice, then check the interview with Boyd Rice by (ex-KKK) Nazi Tom Metzger, check Boyd's comments in that interview about David "Tibet" being a white power devotee

  • i read that Tibet now considers himself a christian?! not that it really matters...

  • i think tibet is just interested in religion period. he reads a lot of gnostic apocolyptic literature, he is apparently interested in the end of the world! regardless i'm sure his "faith" is more a term more to describe his current reading habbits, as he has switched dramatically from different religions. who knows. still, it does help to make him a badass writer.

  • In the booklet of "SixSixSix:SickSickSick", where the studio material from Looney Runes is featured, David wrote:

"I have removed the live material recorded in Tokyo in 1988 as I do not wish to listen to it ever again".

That's sad, because this track is awesome.

  • Simply the best esoteric dark wave band of all time.

  • Is that a hemetic diagram or her shirt, or a Crowleyan pentagram?

  • It's a unicursal hexagram or something like that, a "crowleyan" symbol.

  • Or 'something like that'. Yes, it's the unicursal hexagram. Pick up a copy of "The Book of Thoth" and learn a thing or two.

  • YEa, do that and become a huge douche bag as well

  • Cock

  • Good to see C93's Nazi leanings outed by Boyd Rice on You Tube. To be fair Tibet reversed out of Nazism into... wait for it... conservative Catholicism... no fuckin' change there then!!

Wait for the uber-sycophantic write up in The Wire

  • increible!!!

  • it's too bad this was never more widely or album released, i believe it's easily one of c93's best songs ever. much better than their more recent xtian drivel.

  • I agree. Not necessarily because it's Christian (at least David has a fairly novel approach to the theology -- one that often involves a healthy amount of LSD), but because his voice just DOES NOT FIT in an acoustic/folk context. The guy can't sing, and worse yet, he tries to make up for that by "sing-speaking" in a nauseatingly melodramatic fashion. I dig David; but I really hope he'd go back to doing the stuff he could pull off.

  • Hey! Doug is on guitar there! But who's that guy playing the drums?

  • That looks like Tony Wakeford of Sol Invictus on the Drums.

  • it IS tony!;)

one of the first appearences with doug after he left dij.

    great track and great performance!

    god bless rose mcdowall!

and to dundeehool! go puke somewhere else!

  • Yes, that's Tony.

Those were great times for the underground British musicians. Hell, back then almost all of them were buddies, now, years after the World Serpent thing both Douglas and David are on bad terms.

I also agree about C93's current stuff; I really didn't like "Black Ships..."

  • What was the second part from since yesterday video?

    Since Yesterday

    ...?

    Happy Birthday Pigface Christus

    Summer of Love

Is it somewhere on youtube? (give me only the watch?[...] part of the link)

  • That's crap. I have to puke on the band and all their fans.

  • Anybody know what album this if from if its from one?

  • this song was only released on a 12" record and never released on an album but a live version on 'Looney Runes', and the 12" made it on to a 1993 retrospective release called 'Emblems: The Menstrual Years'

  • Awesome, thanks AntiMusick

  • great lineup

  • ok fine, I stand corrected.... he stole his act from the Tazmanian Devil (Taz) ha ha!!

  • Finalnexus: he stole his act from Johnny Rotten.... ?? What??? John Lydon do not look like David Tibet, theyre not playing the same kind of genre. ?? Tibet is not a 18 years old punk-rocker.

  • he stole his act from Johnny Rotten....

  • You stole your name from Star Trek.

  • "To explore strange new worlds, To seek out new life, new civilization.... To boldly go where no man has gone before...."

  • is that andrew liles on drums???

  • tony wakeford

  • wonderful clip thank you

  • DAMNED GROUP!!!!!!!

  • Heil Crist ,He will reign forever

  • satanchrist-serpentdove-serpentlove-unholiest of holies-I swim in the ether and feed on your spirit-love me,love me,love me good, love me children like you know you should

  • This is a stunning clip - many thanks for posting.

  • hail to our redemer!

  • It won't load for me..GRrrr.. the others did.

  • blame youtube

  • Excellent!

Tony on drums is also very sharp! Wonderfull line up.

  • time was ! time is ! time shall be no more !

    fabuleux !

  • If anyone reads that magazine The WIre, the July 2006 issue is a Current 93 cover story in which Tibet discusses his conversion to Catholicism. Would that really change your mind about the music?

  • I had many over the top acid trips in college and "As the World Disappears" was the only album I could rely on to bring me back. It was recorded when David Tibet was was a student of Chimed Rgdzin, a Tibetan Nyingma Buddhist (maybe where the last name comes from?). I don't think it would be possible for him to be a 'religious' Christian after getting so into this school of Buddhism. So don't delete your C93!!

  • Ugh! You know, it's not entirely impossible he's Christian with Buddhist beliefs. After all, I'm agnostic with Buddhist and Taoist beliefs.

  • Tony Wakeford on drums ? Rose and David are great !

  • puts me in a good mood.

  • I think my choice of name states quite plainly how incredible I think this band is.

I was wise (closeminded?) enough never even to think of mixing some of their stuff to psychedelics, though I did once combine Cats Drunk on Copper with quite a bit of 20x Salvia

  • listening to "looney runes" on acid was one of the scariest things i ever did!!

  • I has been know that 'Dogs Blood Rising' is a acid trip freak out album, if you are looking for a bad trip.

  • thankfully my bad trip days are over, been there done that got the t-shirt etc lol.

but the whole psychic tv,current 93,23skiddoo etc etc,was an experience never to forget and i thank them all for screwing with my mind :)

  • speaking of 23 Skidoo ... I think I'm going to put up one of their videos from the 7 Songs Traquiliser video.

  • would be great to see that, let me know when you do :)

  • FUCK JESUS CHRIST. LONG LIVE CURRENT 93!

  • Current 93 is pretty much christian...

  • or are they? I'm a big fan of them but their subversion(or is it?) of christian imagery makes me uneasy. I know it's totally not what they're about but it'd be easier for me to like them if they could come right out and say that they're not christian. or come right out and say that they are so I can delete all their music from my hd.

  • fuck. sorry to say this, but everyone credo should be "live and let live". So, you don't go to bed without thinking: "Damned. Now Tibet is a christian. I have to delete or sending away everything that I possess from C93". And if I told you that he is still a Comus fan, a Black Sabbath fan, a Kenneth Anger fan, you would feel more confortable? This make me laugh. Like to ones who go th C93 concerts, dressing in a military way (Douglas P. look)....

  • I knew someone would think like that about my comment. Just to let you know my credo is "live and let live" too. Except when they don't do the same to me; like for example converting all of my ancestors to their sick diseased philosophy.

  • why it's diseased philosophy? The only thing that Christianity proclaim is love. Love to everyone. Only institution called Church is diseased not the philosophy.

  • If the "philosophy" loves so much, why did they force my ancestors to convert from their own religion? Why did they hate my culture so much that they felt the need to destroy it and replace it with some half-baked rip-off of Judaism? Don't tell me *that* was about love. They want everyone to believe that some Jewish mystic's execution, his *dying*, is the most important thing to ever happen. Think about that. That's not a philosophy that proclaims love, it's one that proclaims death.

  • And do you think that Jesus forced your ancestors to convert into Christianity? No it was the Church. And Jesus death was one of the most love-act that has ever happened. When he redeem mankind with his own sorrow.

  • you wrote "jesus"

  • you mean in the sentence :"And Jesus death..." yeah thnx if you meant this.

  • And don't tell me that Jesus' dying was out of love, either. If it is love, it's of the sort an abusive spouse feels for their victim. It gives with one hand and attacks with the other. It says "in order to have this love, you must give up everything that makes you you, and submit to me". I don't want that kind of unhealthy relationship with my Deities, thank you.

  • it's sad how people translate everything literally from Bible. Think about what Jesus said to us more profoundly and then you can schmear Christianity as you want.

  • kyrie eleison...

  • nice more!!!!

  • rose mcdowell singing her lungs out bless her..

  • rose mcdowell is a goddess and she does sing her lungs up t0 the moon!
