this is a rly bad rush, a rush involves giving urself early units at the cost of putting urself into an economic disadvantage midgame.

u did alot of things wrong here too, attacking resource gatherers is mostly priority what did u go for the barracks for?! if that would have been a proper player he would have abused that and killed you. U wasted time microing ur troops down rather than using the minimap, use a rally point dude

hmm. for a 9pool, I'd usually build up to 9 drones, build a spawning pool, a drone, then either do the extractor trick+overlord or just another overlord. the spawning pool should finish right when the overlord does, and you'll just have 3 larvae ready. dunno if this is the official build for 9pool though.

A zerg rush is where you dont build a drone. You set 4 workers to mine then you wait till u get 200 min build a spawning pool then once pool done you rais 6 zerglings and rush.

there's lots of types. the one u just mentioned is called 4 pool. theres way more, such as 6 pool, 9 pool. (the common ones)

Yeah, it's probably too long. One of the commenters said that the only "real" zerg rushes are 4pool and 6pool. They're described on the official starcraft website.

i congradulate you on a good effort, but you must know a 9 pool isnt realy a rush, if u where playing a human it wuldave been a harmless harrass. A rush is either 4 or 6 pool, its all in but thats what the rush is. Another thing u shuld atack move the minimap instead of following ur lings down the map. And u shuld attack move ur lings when u have liek 6 and he has 3 marines and u use all of them to kill 1 at a time. Just keep trying :)

I know what Fraps is, but I remember that the trial version only allowed you to record 30-second clips or record a certain number of videos. That, and I don't really like buying anything intangible. If the trial version only adds a watermark (get back to me on that one) and had decent sound quality (desync), I'll gladly give it a shot.

I don't like talking shit so here's some constructive criticism.

Proper Zerg Rush: You don't make any drones from the beginning... You just mine till you have enough to build spawning pool and take 1 of the 4 original drones and morph that into it. By the time its done, you should've mined at least 150 min. to build 3 zergling eggs. You're on "challengers" map... you don't need an overlord to scout;; also you're against computer. They're stupid.

that was a good attack but i think a real zerg rush would be much much bigger sendding in constant waves but that was still good thinking doing it in the beginning of the game

Yeah, that was the original plan, sending in loads of hydralisks and lurkers and following up with mutalisk raids, since the time it takes to work up a better attack usually lets the computer build one or two bases around the map (that's what happens when I do it against protoss).

I was expecting the original raid to just be able to kill off a few marines, do some damage to structures, and then get shot down by more marines popping out of barracks. Instead, I somehow beat them completely.
