@lisamaureen, thanks for posting! Love the song, the clips, everything! You and I have a lot of the same favorite eps as well. I was SO disappointed when the mother ship was cancelled; I still want my Mike/Connie fix!!!
Love how Mike was molded to be like Jack McCoy Jr. Right now to the hair style, and you can even feel the father-son relationship when Mike and Jack interact, especially when Mike goes after someone who tried to hurt Jack's career or reputation.
OMG, what ep is 0:55 from? That side glance Cutter gave, and the smile! Adorable. . . in a naughty sort of way! How did Connie stop herself from wanting to jump him all. of. the. time? Tee Hee!
P.S. Curse Dick Wolf, the network twits, or whoever prevented there being a 21st season!!!
@Nikrina It was Dick Wolf wanted to do LOLA, and TNT wouldn't buy the 21st season... something like that. ;) Either way, there wasn't enough funding, and it flopped. :/
I'm guilty as well for watching "For the Defense" over and over. Connie and Mike have a great working relationship. In the recent episode "Innocence" it is apparent that they complete each other in more ways than one and not just with their work. How that was never displayed with the Claire/Jack relationship.
Nicely done :-) I thought I was imagining the Cutter likes Connie thing until this season when they flat out said it! I like how he always watches her walk away.
Connie says "Unless we have to." (Concerning the faked M.E. report)
He says "Right."
Connie asks "Cake?"
Mike replies "In a minute..." She leaves and we hear from a distance people singing "Happy Days are Here Again" as Mike looks on... Hope that answered your question!
You're welcome! You won't be disappointed in S19! My personal faves are "Zero", "Knock Off" and "By Perjury", and oh, what the heck, most of the season is just excellent...enjoy the show!
It is also obvious between the two character that Connie doesn't treat Mike as her superior but as her equal. A good example of this was when she had remind Mike that he was out of line in front of Lupo and Bernard when Mike and Lupo were arguing in the episode "Perjury" All the other former ADAs would have not dared try to correct Jack McCoy's behavior in front of others.
Agreed! Mike treats her as an equal too. In "Exchange" when she wants to "dot all the i's" Mike goes ahead and lets her because he trusts her and her instincts about the case. And the brother of the defendant in that episode was guilty and Connie knew it. I love their working relationship! Makes for great TV :)
Yes. If you compare season 17, which was the when Connie's character was first introduced. You'll noticed that she was dressed very conservative much like the all the DAs that proceeded her. It was when Michael Cutter's character was introduced in season 18 was when you started to see Connie's appearance seem softer.
Thanks for the video. Loved these to characters together and their sexual chemistry. I believe this was why the show was starting to make Connie's character look softer. Less of the dark power suits on her and more softer colors added to her wardrobe.
I wish I could have put some Tango clips in, but I only had access to "Strike" from Season18, and some episodes from S19. Sorry 'bout that. Glad you like the video anyway!
Wonderful video of linus and Alana. thanks

I think Season 17 was focused on Connie, 18 on Mike, and 19 on a relationship between the two... and not sure about Season 20 quite yet. =/

From the episode "Lucky Stiff":

He says "Right."
Connie asks "Cake?"
Mike replies "In a minute..." She leaves and we hear from a distance people singing "Happy Days are Here Again" as Mike looks on... Hope that answered your question!
