@vageness95 Your 100% right, I dont know how to get rid of it either but i find if you stop the recording before it goes over the 4 bars, 8 bars etc.. than it usually wont go past that, But if you figure it out, let me know. I use recording and fx at the same time for diffrent reasons, but it does help at times.

There is an alternative way of doing this.

Press the record button fl studio. Make sure the delay is set to off, Press play on fl studio and when it gets to the part you want the delay to hit you press the on button for the fl delay effect then turn it off again, Stop the recording.

What happens is the recording actually will turn the effect on and off by itself, Bcuz that is what you did when you pressed recording. Same thing applies for channel panning! (: good tutorial though! thx -Vicbeatz

How to apply more than one automation clip to a certain channel(?) ? I'd like to apply both the Phaser and the Delayer. The Phaser would always be active but the delay would only be on in the end of the sound (like you did). I seem to get only one automation clip for the specified channel (called Insert 4). When I manipulate the clip I change both effects! :(

@FM792 Are you creating an automation clip for just the on/off of the delay? If not I can see where you'd be having problems, as I think you're manipulating the on/off for the entire channel. You want the phaser to be constantly on I believe, and the delay to be triggered only at a certain point? In this case you'll have to load both plugins into the channel, then follow the guide just as he showed, for the delay on/off only. Hope I helped, if not let me know!

If you put the delay on the one of the send channels you can automate the send knob on a specific word you want to send to the echo/delay. This way you can control the amount of delay effect in different words. Some has 100% send and some has only 50% send. Much more flexible. You can use the same delay to different channels too when the effect is on send channel.

How do you apply this effect on a segment of a piano roll note instead of a waveform?!

I for instance throw a vocal sample into FPC. Then I play it and record it in song mode. Lets say the sample is 15seconds. How do I put an echo on the last 5 seconds of that sample in my song?

This brings another issue up. When I play the project in song mode. And I jump somewhere into the song and halfway of the vocal sample. Then I wont hear the chosen part of that sample. Only if I play it from start.Y?

one question i tryied this but when i made the automation clip with the part i wanna delay it wont play if fruity delay its turn off/ if i turned it on will play the whole part not just the one that i want! and something else that i realize when i do the automation clip on the part that i want to delay at me appears delay 2 (insert1) mix envelope and not mute/solo envelope, why? were i did wrong , please help!!

There is a ENORMOUS BUG! in FL studio with this tedious form of ON OFF automation......

It simply does not work!..... Yes it will automation the ON OFF< however move further back into the tune and the bloody thing is ON again.......

It creates chaos, and drives me absolutly nuts

what IS NEEDED!< is a logic-based SWITCH....... a simple ON/OFF insert that does just this JOB "MUTE CLIPS" or "ON OFF CLIPS"

This is tedious!

maybe you need to get familiar with how the fl studio playlist works. try thinking about it. if you play furthur back in the playlist in the area where the automation is ON, then obviously it'll be on. if you wanna edit stuff while turning off the automation, select an area where the actual automation is set to OFF. logic helps sometimes.
