Guys raising the water temp 6 degrees is PERFECT so long as you are doing it with a strong flow , Take a basic 18ft round pool with 8,000 gallons of water , if your pumping 500 gph , the entire pool gets an additional 3 degree rise with 8 hours of sunlight. Remember the key is not out let temp being really high, the key is max flow to turn pool over with a modest but good temp rise on the out let so 6 degrees is perfect unless your pumping little water like this bag deal is
I have made 8 bags now and have a favorite design. I have 2 each 10' bags and one 5' bag that total heats 500 gallons a day 6 degrees. Slow the water flow down and it's 12 degrees hotter. It takes a evening and about $20 bucks in parts to make one. I will post soon a vid on how to make your own.
My best friend made one out of 3/4" PVC pipe, rolls of pipe painted flat black and put on the roof of the house so you don't see the Dahm ugly thing. works to good! HOT WATER!

Here in Washington state, it's 'hot' outside when it's in the 90's ... for a few short days in the summer. I built my own pool heater out of black PVC pipe. It's great to take the edge off and extend the usability of the pool to may-sep.
I won't let anything big and black IN my pool, sure don't want it laying next to it.

How about covering the surface of the pool with a black covering,this would heat the water directly,same principle,and keep debris out.
Obviously you would remove the cover when using the pool.
