And people are right. American Idol is the type of show where it's the big-voiced contestants who fare well. So it was inevitable that Lacey's restrained style didn't appeal much to viewers who want to hear lots and lots of money notes. But I wish Lacey well. I hope she goes far.

I feel bad for Lacey. She has so much potential, but Idol really isnt the stage to release it. Her voice is to subtle for a programme where you need to be able to stand out to do well. I don't know what to think about her early dismissal. I don't think she could have won, but she's probably better than nearly half of everyone else. I guess it doesn't matter as long as Crystal or Siobhan or Lee are in the top 3, but how are Didi, Andrew, and Katie still there? Lacey's biggest problem was the audience. She sings like she's out of 1962, and that made her a lot less "cool." The tone-deaf 16 year olds voted in droves for Katie over Lacey, and that made the difference.
