I'm not defending Japans or Hirohito's actions in world war 2 but I think it's important to recognise that although Hirohito was the head of the army and navy of Japan and in theory the ultimate ruler of the nation, he was acting as a puppet for the extreme nationalistic military authorities who violently bullied their way into the positions they were in. The vast majority were against the idea of war until intense propaganda began.

(1) America always rebuilds, regenerates, changes to fit what every model it needs to win. You see we are the most hyperactive, competitive people on earth.
(2) Japan and Germany both have an aging population (US too but not as bad).
(3) In Germany they have the problem of an increasing muslim population which has no interest what so ever in integrating into German life.
(4) Most of the US highway system etc was built at the same time (1950s) as their rebuilding.

America does things that the rest of the world doesn't appreciate.
For example, recently they voted to NOT ban the use of cluster bombs during war, and to help clean up their own unexploded ones before they hurt innocent people, while 111 other nations voted TO ban them. And there are lots of other examples like that that make the world dislike, if not hate, America.

Actually america leads the way in cluster munition clean up and land mine recovery across the globe. They are largest monetary donors and providers of people and equipement. Reason for cluster munition no vote was it is still considered a tactical viable weapon as does Russia, china and a other large countries. If you single out america you need to include the others as well.
