Ron Paul definitely has one thing right: the Federal Reserve is messed up, and to people who would disagree with me, I would advise you to do some research and learn how it was founded, by who, and what it was designed to do:create debt that is IMPOSSIBLE to pay off. The reason it is illegal to audit the Fed is because if you knew what they were doing, you would see how much they are robbing the country blind, and every person to try and stop the Fed has been killed, JFK being the best example..

However he has also made it clear that he believes that as the constitution instructs........Decisions such as abortion should be made by the individual States......NOT the Federal Government. This means that the residents of those states can make their preferences heard to their elected officials.. You live in a State that has made abortion illegal? You can go to one where it is.

@desertrosetx Are we a country or merely a collection of states? Some issues are important enough that we should decide on them AS A COUNTRY. You want it at the states' level because you don't like the federal/majority opinion. This is common with selfish persons. If you agree with the majority, you want the decision at the federal level. If not, you want it at the state level.

@desertrosetx alright so on the stance of abortion/marriage up to the states (RP states "States don't have rights, individuals do") but there's always a problem where those argue "So majority rule of states is justified where federal ruling can just end it all like job discrimination (despite private property rights and as if employees are granted automatic right of fair treatment by gov't force).

I just wish in his TRUE free society people do whatever w/ or w/o votes.

@TealAlloy Are you aware that the executive branch cannot overturn existing judicial president ? Ron Paul even if President could not overturn Roe v. Wade nor could any candidate. It would require the Supreme court overturning it which is not likely.

@TheArcaneSanctum Actually it's up to Congress, but an executive order can also do it even if it's without precedent, just as Clinton used it to fight the Kosovo War and Bush used it to ban public funding of stem cell research. Despite it, the executive has many other powers such as appointing whomever they want to certain positions, vetoing laws, etc. Though there are checks and balances the president can guide many laws, such as how Obama streamlined the Affordable Care Act.
