My father joined Orient Airways and retired from PIA in 1976 Mr M H HASHMI got the medal on his retirement for "Meritorious Service".
I still remember accompanying my father to PIA HO and meeting Air Marshal Nur Khan, Mr.M M Saleem,Mr Iqbal Ahmed and Mr Qamar uz zaman, Haseeb Ahsen, Hanif Mohammed and Waseem Bari were regulars at our place.
Every one was proud to me an employee of PIA indeed "Great People to Fly with."
