  • @nickvela1992 I request you to tell me what makes you think that i am "ignorant" and "intolerant" of other religions and when did i ever say a non catholic goes to hell? I am from India where there are religions you must have never even heard of. My boyfriend is a Hindu. My best friends are Muslim. My classmates are Zoroastrians, Buddhist, Sikhs. I know about their religions as much as i know about Christianity. Please tell me what part of my comment offended you so much

  • @trustno1 Yes too bad he wasnt more against pedophiles.

  • such a beautiful yet almost haunting sound, he was a great man

  • I cried when His Holiness passed

  • @sasua741 Who cried for thousands of little boys?

  • @lippertism. Goes for you to. Read my last comment

  • @snehatete1 Look who's talking. Keep your Christian ideals out of here. This is in memory of John Paul II the great. I'm a pagan and he is one of my role models. I'm not going to hell because im not Catholic and if you believe that then you are ignorant and intolerant of other religions. Your religion took everything from paganism. Look it up. You r hypocritical so shut up.

  • God bless the people here leaving cheap comments!! people if u do not believe then no one will ask you to! but please understand that spoiling the name of God n people appointed by him is only going to make God not just destroy your body but even your soul !!!

  • @snehatete1 lol

  • SO SAD, POPE JOHN WAS ONE OF THE BEST POPES WE COULD EVER HAVE AND AS FOR PEOPLE NOT LIKE POPES AND HIM, VELL GO TO HELL BECAUSE GOD OS THROUFG THOSE POPES AND PROTESTANTS, MORMONS AND ATHEISTS DO NOT UNDER STAND THAT.

  • @lippertism your caps lock button is on

  • Meskiagkasher, shame on you, you piece of shit. We all have a right to put our faith in religion, whatever it is. You are a disgrace to humanity. The entire concept of religion is finding meaning in a particular faith.

  • it is a disgrace that an entire faith industry exists based on an imaginary sky-daddy. the resources that are wasted on religion should better be put to meaningful uses.

  • Yay! Another NWO scumbag will go to hell.

  • @MandyVin17 You are what you say, sadly for you, you live under the idea that everyone conspires to make your life miserable, and that in itself makes you miserable. All i have thought i have said. God Bless You.

  • @4yall Your a fucking nut, sorry but you are.

  • --> The truth about John Paul II (can be translated into any language by the google translator):

  • @kosciolkatucozru

    propaganda

  • what a hauntinig sound

  • Nice bells. Here in the USA, I was out with family when we found out Pope John Paul II has passed away. I think with just a gong, it means a moment of silence

  • I think this sounds better than the campanone bourdon of st. peter's basilica, although the bourdon of the vatican church sounds great also. aw. PP JP II deserves this. proud papist.

  • the bell has a vocal-like tone. Creepy, but beautiful. Tone in C I think.

  • I mean F#.

  • We forever will remember and honor this great man of God -- JOHN PAUL THE GREAT!

  • he was a good man bless him!

  • Jestem Polakiem i dzięki naszemu Papieżowi czuje miłość do Ojczyzny

  • Thank you for your kindness and gentleness. I am Catholic but I have to thank you for not attacking Catholicism like most atheists / agnostics tend to do.

  • Pope John-Paul the Great.....

    gone to his heavenly reward.

resting in the Arms of Jesus.

  • llega al alma, por el dolor de perder a este ser tan querido. Dios te tenga en paz querido Caroll, Juan Pablo ll.

  • I was there at that time. We were praying in silent Jesus-Eucharist. A priest came. It was about 10 pm and told in the microphone that the death of the pope was just announced. ANd the bells started ringing.85 rang. One rang for one year.

  • certainement, il est avec Dieu, Priez pour nous Jean-Paul II !

  • gloria a Juan Pablo II

  • I bet the people knew he passed when those bells rung. Truly a beautiful, yet haunting sound.

  • @XenaAmazon

    I agree.

  • where can i find the video of the book closing if theres any available

  • i'm from vienna and remember when the St Stephan's Cathedral's Bell rang... it was very touching

  • Beautiful. Bells ringing, in the same moments all around Europe.

  • very good sound!

    this bell is great!

reason why its ringing is sad!

    gr from tom from holland

  • :-(

  • I wonder if thats the big 13 ton bell I read about..

  • That bells is indeed Emmanuel :-) I was fortunate enough to hear it when I was in Paris, summoning the Faithful to Mass on Sunday

  • This seemed like a very spiritual moment... I remember I was enrolled in a catholic school that was next to a catholic church, and when Pope John Paul II died, the lowest-sounding bell tolled the passing of him...it was sad. May I ask one question, though? Was this rang at 9:37? Because I believe churches from around the world tolled the passing of him at 9:37, I remember the church bells rang around the world the next day, which was sad. I watched the news all night on that day. :-(

  • I think so, I only started ringing at 9.45pm due to logistics and only finished at 12 midnight

  • RIP Pope!

  • csworldwide1, are you out of diapers yet???

  • The sound of that great bell is so eerely beautiful. Its sp strange how the death of a man can make such a difference.

  • I forget that Notre Dame is still a functioning Catholic church. It has become such an icon of France that...it is a source of constant wonderment that the Church has inspired so much beautiful architecture, music, and art.

  • There are others cathedrals which are more beautiful than Notre Dame of Paris, in France: Reims, Amiens, Strasbourg,Saint Denis

  • Miss you papa

    =(

  • Oh God, tears are coming down my face as I remember that day

  • God bless him and take care of him in heaven!

  • Nemojte psovat....Ivan Pavao II to nebi volijo...Pcivao u Miru!

  • There may have been much violence within the church during the mideval times, but over 100 times Pope John Paul II has appoligized to all for such travesties and said that the church shall never again take such actions.

  • [*]

  • God bless the cahtolic church!!

  • are you from the westboro baptist church or something darn!

  • thank you papa!

  • che triste questo suono....fa venire la pelle d'oca

  • Pope dies on 02.04.2005 -> 2+4+2+5= 13

    Hour of death 21:37 -> 2+1+3+7= 13

    It`s 13th week of 2005

    The papacy lasted 26 years and 5 months -> 2+6+5= 13,

    so it`s 9301 days -> 9+3+0+1= 13

13th of May -> assasination on His life

    He was 85 -> 8+5=13

Karol Wojtyła was elected while he was 58 lat - again 13. John Paul II was 265th POPE - sum... 13 again... coincidence ?

  • Of course this is no coicidence. You are just a fool.

  • 13 is a number of Maria`s "appearances", to whom he gave whole his life to... so think now "fool"

  • well sort of, I mean he died when there was eclipse and he was also born under a eclipse so maybe, You should check out the prophecys of st mallachy, has something I think on this, k well cya lol

  • He was 263rd POPE after St.Peter and 264 chatolic POPE, and the sum is not 13.He was born on 18 05 1920-> 1+8+5+1+9+2+0 is not 13, he was elected on 16 10 1978-> 1+6+1+0+1+9+7+8 is not 13,he was the 1st non italian POPE after 445 years -> 4+4+5 is not 13!!!! Please don't write Blasphemy!

13th of May -> assasination on His life??? where is the year? why don't you sum the year?

  • 4+4+5 is 13 u dumbass

  • hahahahhahhahahah, realy? hahhahahahahha! However are you agree with me?

  • Please if you wish to prove something, please be politically correct!

  • The sound of the bells is even kind of sad... See You Papa...

  • He was a GREAT Man. Messenger of GOD.

  • god bless john paul II

  • god bless john paul II

  • Give me your adress fuckin moron.

  • [ * ]

    We love him!!!

  • Kind of sad that the audio clip of Johnny Cage's funeral they made to Hype up the release of Mortal Kombat 3 got a more emotional response from me than this. Too bad he died though, he was a good pope and the pope title itself pretty much entitles you to be a universal ambassador of good will...

  • dear fried, when u read well the bible...u will find out that the god of the bible is not pleased by cilling or eigher by blood!

qoran and as well the bible confirm that jesus was without sins, he was perfect..

    why u dont follow him?

  • He was an incredible man, not a dope. He fearlessly opposed communism, and was a huge factor in the collapse of the Iron Curtain. Gorbachev himself said that the fall of Soviet's communism would not have been possible without him.

What have you done for society lately?

  • Sorry you've been hurt. We have "free will". Nobody is forced/hurt except by other people.

Peace be with you, brother. I have brother-in-law in US military. Great pain for many people. Innocents on all sides dying. Sad sad.

  • saint carol woytila aka "Pope John Paul II" was one of the pest people humanity has ever seen. i respect him and admire his tryings to unite the world:

first pope to go to a synagoge

first to go to a mosque

    kissed the koran

    spoke to the dalai-lama

reunited with jewish and islamic leaders

reunited with ortodox and protestant leaders

visited many countries including non catholic countries

may you be jesus counselor and rest in peace PD we miss you

  • "And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven"

    Jesus of Nazareth

  • To Boy6676: You need to get a life dude! You should also work on manners!

  • For all of our non-Polish speaking friends, the following comment, in English, reads:

Holy father, thank you from everyone.
