I am about 35 years-old and can tell you that the hip-hop from 1978-1990 is DEFINITELY where it's at!!! It was always funky fresh and could never be better. The best period for rap, FOR SURE!!! Peace!
There's always that (or used to be) that moment when the DJ would play the "bootie songs" and there would be numerous "couples" mimicking fucking doggie style on da dance floor, complete with spanking! LOL Ahhhhhhh the late '80s / early '90s.

damn this extended version kicks butt; i always loved this song and the 2 live crew was my favorite rap group back in the 80's hell i was just 6 when this was out but i was jamming them all the way up to about 92 then they fell off when luke left but i have about 4 or 5 2 live crew cd in the cd case still; i pull em out from time to time but i must admit i can't deal with all the cussing like i use to but i love those beats
responding to joohwanoh, yes it was great growing up in the 80's i was 6yrs old in 85 and I remember my buddies having this music we use to jam this stull on a jambox and I was on the handle bars holding it. the 80's was a good time for innocence because we did not know half of what they were talking about but we knew it was dirty
I was in the Army down in Columbus,Ga. when this jam was out. I would crank it up in my ride at the park and the girls would go crazy wearing their biker shorts and shaking those butts. 1988
Columbus GA huh? I'm from the 706....one of the parks you probably went to was Carver Park off Buena Vista Rd. In 88 I was 5 but moms an pops was their cuz they were stationed on Ft. Benning too.
90s were bad ass i loved em i wish i could go back to them provided im only old enough to really remember mid to late 90s but still it was an awesome time
i was only like .5 during that time..lol..ive only been into 80-90s hip hop n underground since last year..but i love it so much..i never even listen to the radio anymore..so i have no idea wats "in" anymore ahah
Ha ha yeah basicly 00s rap hip hop is a bunch of talentless hacks i mean when a song about lollipops or my ultimate favorite load of shit song "chicken noodle soup" can reach the air waves and be played constantly the hip hop/rap genre has OFFICIALLY failed but its what all the damned teens seem to like so it ufortunately will never again be comparable to where it started and got its roots from in my opinion which is only that an opinion
lol im one of those teens..but ive been ..enlightened?...and i agree w/ ur opinion..but there are still some artists out there that still making real hip hop.. like lupe..the reason why hip hop is becoming worse is b/c our society is becoming more and more materialistic and people are starting to become judged by wat they own..real hip hop is about life..not about wat u own..its about wat u go through and wats in ur heart
yea ..i agree....i havent listened to a music station in forever...ppl think im stupid cuz i dont know about mainstream music..but really..they're the dumbasses cuz all they do is follow the crowd with wats "in"..
