i chose the ahead because they were smaller than 5a but bigger than 7a(im a 7a normally) I chose them because they are heavier, so when I go to wooden sticks i'm faster.... (It wont let me post the rest in one comment)
...Im tempted to get some really large sticks. This video was from ages ago, look at my kit, its soooo small and I only have one ride/crash and a cheap maple snare. I was early 15 here, so if you check back to my other thing called "variation on the drums" you can see the improvement over about 4 months. I do, I practise for at least 30 mins, but normally 45mins-1hour. I LOVE jazz and particullarly Sandy Nelson.
