i don't think my cougar has a stock engine, when you pop the hood, the "silver" is black, same lettering except it says its a 3 liter..... i thought its supposed to be only a v6 2.5 liter

@FPGT24 not really, the breaks pull hard to the right, it needs a new timing belt, alignment's horrible, steering wheel was not aligned right when installed (stock steering wheel), and it chugs like friggin crazy untill it hits 3k RPM, that means i have to stay over 3k RPM the intire time.... helps fuel econamy alot (sarcastic), plus, is a Taurus's 3L Duratec good? i'm only into hondas and hachi-rokus

I dont give a fuck of it's a chick car or not. I love my cougar. 121,000 miles, 6 miles per gallon, a huge dent in the back, and a slipping transmission, it's a fuckin legend.

I've got a 2000 cougar as well in a similar color. Mines just a little darker. I hate the tiny ass spoilers on most cougars though. Glad mine has a good spoiler.

Ive never seen a chick in a cougar which has the euro style front and rear bumpers. Only these US cougars which got the cat-mouth shaped front because that appeals to them more.

You don't mention that the previous owner swapped the center console for a 01/02 model.

Actually I have seen the 01/02 consile in the 2000 cougar on numerous ocasions. The reason that you see that console in some 2000's and not the others is because they changed over and started using that console in the 2000's near the end of the 2000 model year, meaning you will never find that console in the 1999's It was not swapped, but it came that way from the factory.
