Well, Bey obviously overdid it. Nevertheless, she was a young vocalist then and didn't quite understand the nuisances of vocal dynamics and more important she loved to O'd on vocal runs and this was a perfect example of this. Also I think she was a little too hyped performing this song(she respects the Jacksons and stan for them). Nevertheless, the Beyonce of 2000/01 is different than the Beyoncé of now. Different vocalist and I would love to see her tackle this now.

Why is everyone hating on this performance and Destiny's Child? People are saying they can't sing, which is stupid when Janet isn't exactly known for HER vocal capabilities. Without her acting & ridiculously amazing dancing, she'd be as useless as LaToya. Also, I think it's funny that people feel like she's an icon and no one can touch her. Beyonce has sold more albums than Janet by herself, and with DC, has sold almost 4x as many. It seems to me Janet is the one who should be paying tribute.
