@stoffe9522 both of the other people that responded were wrong...sorry to them. he's using a few things to get that sound, but the most important thing is his whammy pedal (a digitech pedal). he's also using a delay pedal in some parts to double-up or enhance the sound, and he uses his right hand on the guitar's pickup selector to cut the sound. he uses a wah pedal too, but not nearly to the extent he's using the other previously described techniques. hope that helped.
