I'm a guitar player, and that was awesome. Not only did you nail 90% note-for-note, the phrasing was very "guitar-like" and authentic. Coming from the 80's, I always thought rock synths = wussy tones sucking the life out of the mix. You, on the other hand, remind me of the main two rock keyboardists who didn't "wussify" their band's overall sound: Emerson and Lord.

Its a pitch bender. When it's adjusted it makes the illusion that he is bending the "guitar" string and making it more authentic, and more personal. Really a hard thing to add unless you learned the song with it. But Yeah thats what it is.

Yup, I've been pitch bending as long as I've been "synthing" these past 25 years or so... comes very natural but takes some getting used to. I can't perform at all with twin mod wheels; I need the Korg/Roland joystick style benders for proper '80s rokkinz.
