  • when i made this i made it in a big pan and it was a nice thickness. i cooked it until almost both sides were burnt and the middle was still not cooked. i have tried using less and more of protein powder and milk to make the batter thicker and thinner but it still doesnt work. Im at high altitude is that why? how can i fix it?

  • mines came out too watery and i followed the recipe exactly, the pan was small too. it was just a soggy mess. idk what went wrong?!

  • @ckissner that happens to me sometimes too! i usually add more protein powder or even other powders to make it thicker! like vanilla powder is amazing

  • @ckissner you may have also put too much water.. i made that mistake yesterday lol it was way too liquidy :/

  • @ckissner or too little protein ... if its thicker it doesnt run out into the pan, it stays put :)

  • What type of protein did you use in this recipe?

  • @sammileah we used a high end brown rice protein :) we love it because it's considered a raw food! the enzymes used to separate the carbohydrate from the protein in a grain of brown rice is an organic and raw enzyme, so the protein that is left is still considered RAW <3 it's soo good, and so much better than proteins made with lactose

  • This looks great! Every other protein pancake I've seen looks gross - like a burnt egg white omelet. I will DEF be trying this next week .. I FINALLY have all the ingredients at home :)

  • @loveoutloud224 nut butters are great! amazing source of energy for mid-day snacks, and a complete protein as well :) just be cautious of over-doing it ~ we all know how addicting nut butters can be, but they are so calorie dense that it adds up quick

  • If you want your food to be super healthy you should cook with a cast iron pan; the non stick pans have teflon in them which is a known carcinogen. :)

  • @MaryVdez or chia or flax egg substitute. I can't add links to this reply, but Google chia egg or flax egg, and it will explain all about adding water to chia seeds or flax seeds to make a healthy alternative, and both flax and chia have great nutritional benefits!

  • @coppernopper34 I've heard you're supposed to add the milk in first and stir briskly whilst pouring in the coffee. Hope that helps :)
