when i made this i made it in a big pan and it was a nice thickness. i cooked it until almost both sides were burnt and the middle was still not cooked. i have tried using less and more of protein powder and milk to make the batter thicker and thinner but it still doesnt work. Im at high altitude is that why? how can i fix it?
I love the fact that you make so much videos about healthy eating, it is just as important (if not more) than all those excercise videos you see all over youtube... Love this, subscribed and i'm gonna be following you more! Greeting from amsterdam :)
@ckissner that happens to me sometimes too! i usually add more protein powder or even other powders to make it thicker! like vanilla powder is amazing
@sammileah we used a high end brown rice protein :) we love it because it's considered a raw food! the enzymes used to separate the carbohydrate from the protein in a grain of brown rice is an organic and raw enzyme, so the protein that is left is still considered RAW <3 it's soo good, and so much better than proteins made with lactose
This looks great! Every other protein pancake I've seen looks gross - like a burnt egg white omelet. I will DEF be trying this next week .. I FINALLY have all the ingredients at home :)
I know this is kinda off topic but what do you girls think of Nutella? I heard it was really healthy, and it's delicious but whats your opinion on it?
@loveoutloud224 nut butters are great! amazing source of energy for mid-day snacks, and a complete protein as well :) just be cautious of over-doing it ~ we all know how addicting nut butters can be, but they are so calorie dense that it adds up quick
tips and tricks- interesting veggie recipes, Im bored of cooking the same stuff (im at university and very very sick of pasta!!) also maybe how to eat healthy cheaply? and maybe what to look for on packets...as in in their ingredients information, what should make us put the food down when we see it?
This next update sounds great! I would love some more suggestions for healthy food to serve as appetizers or when entertaining guests. Easy to prepare healthy food for when friends drop by. My grandparents are coming over tomorrow and I'm struggling to find foods that I can make them that won't ruin my 7day slimdown at the same time. They're coming in the afternoon, any suggestions? :)
If you want your food to be super healthy you should cook with a cast iron pan; the non stick pans have teflon in them which is a known carcinogen. :)
I'm going to try this tomorrow, without the flaxseed oil though, I don't have any. Anyone have any suggestions on something I can use to substitute it in the interim? Maybe a little bit of olive oil or some applesauce?
these protein pancakes are amazing! sometimes i put half a banana.. i smash it up and mix it with the mix yummmmmy! can you give us some suggestions on nutritional supplements. i take boost high protein. what do you think? its to gain a little weight
@MaryVdez or chia or flax egg substitute. I can't add links to this reply, but Google chia egg or flax egg, and it will explain all about adding water to chia seeds or flax seeds to make a healthy alternative, and both flax and chia have great nutritional benefits!
I have heard Japanese food is good for you...but can be high in salt! What kind of stir fry or Japanese recipe do you guys recommend for a ToneItUp style Meal? :D Love you guys! xo
Awww.... No Intro song??? I kinda get more exited to watch the video with the song I do a lil fist pumping & dance to it while your vid starts hahah... lol XD
Any tips on how to stop almond milk curdling in coffee? never used happen with the sweetened milk but since I've managed ot get hold of the unsweetened variety it happens 99% of the time:(
I'm a university student without access to an oven. I don't have a meal plan, so I have to make/purchase my own food. I'd appreciate tips and recipes that don't involve a stove/oven.
I add a little more almond milk &use raspberries instead of blueberries, Love it! Could you give some tips on what I should look out for while going grocery shopping?I don't live in the US and we don't have organic supermarkets like WholeFoods or Trader Joe's (booo! maybe I should start one here haha!) so I sometimes spend hours looking at the ingredients but I get lost sometimes:( They sell kale only around winter time and I have a hard time looking for alternatives in your recipes, please help!
