L.A., NY, SF., they all have turists as hell....Spain landed in Florida first then California. Look North West for the missions. Anyways, I have a culture, Spanish, so im just living it here in Miami cause i get the latin community. Now, redheads... I give them some Sapporo and they get happy!

am moving to FL soon from LA, i don't see how tourism is a bad thing, i spent sometime in Las Vegas the party town of the nation and i saw how living there can be a bad thing however there is also so much to do and you are never bored . (sin city however can break the people prone to addiction almost institutionally)

LA also a tourist spot to some extent and i never felt it to be a bad place to live (some places more than others) i hope my transition to FL ends up to be a good one

I have found that no matter where you live there is always something to complain about,most people are never happy where their at.I have a feeling she will want to come back to the place she is familiar with after a few years.

I agree, I live in Florida and it fucking sucks in here. I was expecting it to be cold this month but nooo it was just fresh and then hot as hell. And it's pretty boring in here and there's way too much tourism in this state. Then there's the annoying insects, especially the ants and roaches. I also have very few family in here; 2 aunts, 2 uncles, and my parents. I can't wait to move to New England next year!

I live in England & it's been my dream 2 live in Florida 4 about 10 yrs. My husband is possibly transferring with his job 2 south east Florida. I'm looking 4ward 2 having better weather as I have arthritis. I really appreciate yr views, I've searched 4 ages hoping 2 find out what people really think of Florida. I just hope that we pick the right area 2 live in. I can't wait. I hope u fulfill yr dream of living elsewhere. Thanx

Third if you're living here be prepared to sell you're blood just to buy milk because not only is rent high EVERYTHING IS high. In Florida im seeing rent for $650 a month when rent is $3-4K here, not to mention all forms of transportation buses trains bridges tunnels parking goes up every 7 months so carefully carefully think about this before you make that leap

The cost of living is so damn high you wonder just like we do how in the hell could anyone live in this place, That goes for the entire north east Philadelphia, Bah-stan, or NY. Second reason people here are horrendously rude pretentious and self absorbed, especially in NY, remember we have about 10 top tv shows and Films are filmed here constantly through out the year that and it's slowly turning into LA. People are more caught up with what you have and who you know instead of who you are

Yeah I hear you! Kansas should be much more fun, or better yet, come to Arkansas! It really sucks here, we have no beaches, a hillbilly culture (smells like manure), no theme parks and no sports teams. We have a lot of mexicans and they swim/sweat in our stale lakes. Low paying jobs and barely any benefits. You would love it.

she aint lying about the insects my GOD they are horrible!! but i notice alot of people say that the southern portion of the state is more northern in atmosphere. to some extent that is true but its more like in pockets. i live in sw florida and there are northerners but the "florida cracker" and the "Southern Negro" still has its presents any many areas. if u go to the black areas everyone has a southern accent and in other areas of south florida the confederate flag fly's high!

Even if one life is touched and changed, that one more life changed than without these messages. That IS money spent on the living who carelessly want to get rid of their babies. I live in Florida I hate it and I am moving out of this state this summer going to the New England Area Like RI,CT area like it much better up there.I agree with you it is to hot out down here you can not step foot outside. I am from RI have not like FL in the 3 pr 3 years I have lived here.

yes florida is shit. Come over to the west coast. its lovely here. But really two word: hippie suburbia. the Bay Area is really nice (you will have one season though but it doesnt get too hot if you are in the Bay). However I can see your interest in New York City. I think the bay area theatre scene is not nearly as nice as it should be. But then again the art scene in the USA sucks all around though.

I think in reference to the Arts it depends on where you live. In 08/09 I lived in Ft Myers and while there wasn't a TON there was more than where I live back home now in Maine - the Symphony Orchestra was there, Florida Rep, Broadway Palm...so I think it depends on where you are...

(though I do agree with you that there should be more, and I hated the weather too)
