Bangladesh has a unique problem. It's people are undisciplined, disorganized and corrupted to the bone. That's why it is the dirtiest city I have ever visited and there will never be order in that country.
So many die everyday from needless careless driving. Never park on the rail lines. Never drive on the other side of the road. Never go 100 mph when you obviously won't be going anywhere with clogged roads. The average Bengali is missing a few common sense genes.

its not really the railway's fault...the bus should not have moved up when the street ahead wasn't clear...I remember having been stuck in similar situation back in 1996 at Goran...this is scary stuff...I pray that everyone recovers from this.

I'm a regular commuter in this Azmeri bus route. My experience, the drivers are the culprit, they always ignore the "warning siren" of this level crossing; the gatemen always try to bring down the barricade before the train arrives, but some mustang driver (including private cars) abuses the gatemen to let them go.
The bus could not advance due to the jam of cars both in front and behind it. Luckily all the passengers got out in time. However, the one in the private car stayed in to try and get his car out (you can see it advances a bit). That was a mistake.
