  • Талант!)

  • French horn with baritone solo.

  • This goes to show everyone has something beautiful inside of them.

  • 1 dislike? I'd say that's pretty good considering the 261 likes....but seriously...Was it because the title said "best"? Aside from that the title was exactly what it said it was and an awesome version...Internet Y U NO SENSE MAKE??? ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

  • modern age Minstrel...

  • is the poor man struggling with money? It's beautiful, the playing, and sorry if he's not poor and I'm just making a mistake I don't wanna offend anybody, just asking.

  • Fantastic. Like some one else said he should be playing in some super concert hall, or teaching kids in schools. He is brilliant.

    Thanks for posting this one-

    Jane.

  • this is by far, the best version i've heard so far...imo

  • Old Woman!

    Man!

    Man... Sorry...

  • @soiledmcribs

    I'm 37!

    What?

    I'm 37 I'm not old!

  • why would our society let a talent like this be in waste

he deserved to be in a better place like performing in concertos and ect

  • Muito bom !! Parabéns!! BRazil

  • I love this melody!

  • Awesome

  • I wish I was that cool

  • :)

  • Thank you

  • perfect,......perfect

  • THAT DUDE, ROCKS!!!

  • Alas, it is wrong that society has cast him off discourteously

  • @muffin8or I got this... ;) Funny but sad.

  • Maybe he wants to play in the street.

  • Hehe he is making more money then I do at my slave job, and he does it while enjoying it :)

  • @Wargumm1i ??? Slave job?

  • Its even sadder than its original version!

  • Guy's a genius.

  • WOW amazing :$ omg. God Bless You.

  • Fabio, awesome music. Like in medieval times, you play it "popular" and like trovadours in the streets of the village.

  • this is some awesome hammered dulcimer playing!-he's very comfortable w/this, you can tell

  • That is insane I have never saw an instrument like that.

  • Bravo !

  • @czobsessed i dont think is a woman

  • Somebody get this cat to Carnegie Hall STAT!!

  • AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • this is the gift that keeps on giving!-this isn't a regular hammered dulcimer, it sounds like a piano dulcimer or cymbalom-its great, expert player ty for posting!

  • Beautiful !!! :) !!!

  • just incredible

  • How the hell does can she afford that instrument?? lmao

  • @GeneralVictorFlores Are people who play outside for others automatically homeless in your world?

  • you find your best music on the streets...That is where started....and may go back again...it comes from the heart... Well done and many blessings....Big Gerry

  • @1biggerrynv I Totally agree!!!!!!!!!!

  • Am I the only one reminded of the Mystics from "The Dark Crystal" by his manners and pose? Sans the extra pair of arms of course.

    Regardless, he's a fantastic musician.

  • Beautiful!

  • I think playing in streets is more socially remarkable than in a concert. Part of the magic this person creates resides on the fact she plays for everybody who want to listen and doesn't expect such beautifullness in their routines. In a concert there are only people from a selected social segment who previously knows (or have an idea) of what they're going to see and listen.

Did you see how many people stopped to watch and listen to her?

  • I realized......

    "Her" name is Arlen Oleson.

What a nice player she is!

You can find her by search, and download a few songs for free!

What a generous person she is!

  • Amazing talent and to such a wonderfull song. It's sad to not see more people appriciate music and melody like this anymore

  • This really is the best version. This guy is amazing!

  • If you paid attention you'd know it wasn't Henry VIII who composed this. That's a popular misconception

  • i love it

  • Funny tidbit: It's rumored that King Henry VIII was the composer of this song.

  • Comment removed

  • @Cowboycurtis888

Just like the Arthurian epic was a rumor, both are false.

  • wooow

  • perfect :D

  • Perhaps he has no desire to perform in a hall...some musicians like myself do not prefer huge audiences or grandeur...I'm a drummer...I've played gigs in shitty little bars and basements...and I love it. It has a better feel to it than say a huge gymnasium full of people.

  • i can atest to that ..........i have preformed in front of a large crowed and it nearly gave me a heart atack id rather share my talents with small groups

  • greensleeves in chinese musical instruments

  • it's a byzantine instrument :)

  • lol i find it amazing how he lifts his head and says "thank you" when they give him money, and it doesn't affect him playing at all

  • @StopTheMoti0n That is muscle memory my friend =)

  • omg so lovely i would gladly pay to hear him any day so soft and harmonius

lovely he should be in a consert hall is an understatement....

  • some people dont open the doors to there talents...but this man broke the hinges. god bless his soul

  • What a skill...

It's soo sad to see the real brilliance and talent in the street. If this guy plays in concert hall I would happily pay to attend his show.

    God bless him

  • GIVE HIM ALL YO MONEY!!

  • Awesome !

It's really sad that he plays in streets and not in a concert hall.

  • Sometimes it matters not the size of your hall but rather the audience that you have in it. He has the skill but the charm of what it is and how he plays it could be lost. He captured everyones attention. this video has almost 10,000 hits. I think if he knew that it would make his day. I certainly love comming back and watching this again and again. fav'ed

  • @mpakos18473 REALY!!! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!! ITS AWESOME

  • @mpakos18473 yes, my friend, so sad...but he dont have art director, like many today..he dont have life for sale...he is artist number one...

    nice king song...and king artist...

    good luck ..

  • @mpakos18473

You have to be really very good to get a license to play anywhere on the streets in NY. It can actually be a very lucrative career, and if you are good enough to make it, they assign you a location and time period where you can play.

  • @mpakos18473

Concert halls are often filled with hypocrisy and people who go just because they can and don't understand a thing about music.

Streets will always be the stage of people,no need for walls and fancy carpets to show this kind of talent, to bad most people don't understand that.

  • @mpakos18473 Well, at least he is not just standing around holding down a corner with a dirty cardboard sign just asking for free money. And these lazy bastards around here claim there is no work. They aren't even willing to play a guitar or even a harmonica. ---just give me money.

  • @UpcomingJedi some people can't do this kind of "work"- perhaps you did not consider that?

  • @mpakos18473 Actually, an experiment was done once where a famous violin player played a stradivarius in the subway... people just walked right on by.

  • Wonderful!

I want to know this musician's name.

    Anybody know him?

  • wow

  • Astoundingly beautiful!

I hope this person is well appreciated for their gift

  • What a beautiful job! One of my favorite songs, which will be being played at my Medieval wedding next fall by a friend of mine on her Hammered Dulcimer. Thank you for the inspiration~

  • BRAVO!!!

    RESPECT!

    VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

    Thanks for posting.

    +FAVORITE

  • beautiful, something about the sound of a dulcimer.

  • I'm in awe. Speechless. Love the dulcimer. Love the song. Love you. Thanks for the post, really.

  • To see this person would have tore $50 from me, and the shame the person is in NY, hopefully they make their living. Greensleeves is a great melody, and I hope this person lives comfortably having this talent.

  • WOW^^

  • Pure geniality.

  • wow i wish i where there

  • This would've been nice to have been there to ask him to play a song for me.

  • Beautiful.

  • OMG . I think I was there for this. I remember him. I was the one who asked him to play greensleeves . I think I remember him saying he made his dulcimer by himself .

    I can't belive i found this lol

  • It touch me... wow! pure soung of the dulcimer... sure the sound is not perfect but GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!
