Why not make purple mana colorless and have it count for twice the generic mana and make it "mana burn" you since that no longer is in context or something. It would work well with the Eldrazi spells and cause less of a fuss about enemy colors, plus give all colors the ability to excel for a price. Artifacts already represent technology and white is suppose to be the color of life to go against black. Anyone else agree?

Maybe split show into parts so you can go over the 10 min mark.. just use playlists for each show. I think the purple mana rumor is awesome... I would love to see a massive change like that in a set... though if it happens I suppose it will be like coldsnap. People are so stuck in their ways... a big change like this is a expantion is cool and fun and i wish they did more of that.

The problem with the Mirodin Pure\New Phyrexia thing is that little word you glossed over pretty quickly and that's 'gimmick'. IF it's true then WotC are just sticking in yet another gimmicky idea which frankly is insulting. Enough already! Just give us a proper 3 set cycle for once. Following up the rather crappy RoE idea (I know, let's have a 3rd part that has nothing to do with the previous 2!) with this is just terrible.

ok here is a instant win with mass poly. have at least 3 things to exile out, cast mass poly, seeing as the card says "reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal that may creature cards, then put them on the battle fields under your control" it seems to me it allows you to choose the order they are put out. so first you get magister sphinx, bringing there life total to 10, and then 2 bogardan hellkits dealing 5 direct damage a piece. GAME. SET. MATCH.

I'm amazed that someone hosting something called The Magic Show doesn't know how the color pie works. Everything you theorized purple representing already falls under blue and black. Technology and pollution wouldn't be purple because they already belong to blue and black respectively. If one remembers the flavour of Esper, you'll see that there's already a precedent for it. However, I would still be excited to see what Wizards would decide to do with purple.

Well a friedn of mine tested the liliana's deck and went 2-2..he plays very well but the deck is a little too unstable..he gained one game in the 4 turn..but many times he was flood..

I played mithic and won again lol I played 2 garruk and 4 leak and the rest was the normal mythic deck with only 2 bane and 2 warmonk...

I love the garruk in the third turn untaping 2 lands so leak can be always a menace, and pumping a fourth turn possible win (almost) very cool :)

The problem with it being the time for deckbuilders is a big thing... The format is too expensive for a lot of deckbuilders like myself. If I had the money, I'd be rocking my mono-green beats deck(No money for the obligatory 4 Vegg-heads) and Esper Control(2 Grave Titans, 3 Jaces, and 3 Gideons? Yeah, I'm not getting that any time soon.) all the way to a local PTQ. But the price of standard insulates it from new ideas. There's no incentive to build new decks if you already spent a lot of money.

Meh, Green is the enemy of Blue because it has different ways of approaching the enemy. In concept Green is more direct and Blue relies on controlling your opponent in an indirect way. Anyhow, I wonder, if they add Purple, will they leave the back of the cards the same?

I hope they don't do purple mana. Black and blue counter green just fine. Blue's not just about water though water can reek havoc with floods and tsunamis, but blue is also about complexity while green is about simplicity. Combine complexity with death and you get something green just loathes.

Why are you even talking about the Titan lists. The Japan PTQ had 25 participants. It was more like a big FNM. Those lists have almost no merits.

I don't really see what effect the new "emblem" rule has on the game, unless they print cards that specifically affect them, like "destroy target emblem".

You still have to memorize them, unless you write it down, which you could do whether it's an emblem or not.

@armpitpuncher Under the old rule, if say Elspeth's ultimate said "For the rest of the game all your creatures have +3/+3 and vigilance, if she died, the ability would stop working. The only reason it worked with indestructablilty is because technically, indestructability isn't an ability, its simply something true about a permanent (like being blue is). This is the only reason this worked under the old rules. Now, Emblems can be made like I describe, and still work how you think they would.

@armpitpuncher They would never print a card with this wording. Emblems are in the command zone, similar to where EDH generals are. They cannot be interacted with by any card in the game and never will be.

The split set seems interesting, but hopefully not too gimmicky.

They have cards that interact with cards that aren't even in the game, and never were (Wishes). So there is nothing preventing them from printing on a card " destroy target emblem" or something to that effect.

Btw, the Sword of Body and Mind should have been out before as Sword of Nature and Artifice, which would give protection from green and artifacts (this effect doesn't unequip) but that seemed too good at the time and a rules problem that it would unequip itself.
